Yea, I read that too. Funny though, while I was reading it, I kept thinking I better read fast before they catch me and boot me off or something. :loly:

LOL UH OH FOR THE DEFENSE

"(Strength Coach) Mike Kent is the best thing that's ever happened to James Johnson"
Sounds pretty powertardish to me

Man if our defense can't stop our OFFENSE (think about that...we maybe scored 10 offensive tds last year) we're in trouble.
-
No prob. The offense is strong.
-
Maybe they made it free to try to get some positive football new out at the time, you know to take away from the crazy bball stuff at the time.
-
that makes since cause they wrote the article unsoundly optimistic.
-
the only thing i got from that article is that erker sucks

At thursday's practice the offense outshined the defense. But I heard the previous saturday it was the opposite. Johnson looked really good. Freeman did throw a pick for a score as well.
The defense seems to be adapting well to the 3-4 and I was surprised to see how well Campbell and Childs are playing standing up. The front is aweful small though, but hopefully help is coming.
O-line looked okay at times, but at other times completely broke down.
Its good to see Nelson at 100% again. He's definately the top WR right now. Wilson seems to be in the doghouse a bit.
Lots of use of TEs again, thought this shouldn't be a surprise.
Pooshke and Houlik top two running at FB right now. Once Houlik went in at FB in goalline situational scrimmage and caught a TD, but the defensive coaches were ticked b/c he still had his purple jersey on.

jj breaking td runs is one thing, but when i read about missed arm tackles, taking bad angles and falling down in pursuit, i get worried.
and it makes me want to puke that our ol still isn't consistent.

Same #*@% different season. But a lot can happen between now and September. You could also spin it that our RB's are just that much faster than anyone else in the conference.
:koolaid:

The defense won some battles too. This is essentually a brand new defensive scheme so I'm not real concerned. Yet. Usually defense is ahead of the offense at this point, but I can understand the offense winning its fair share or battles b/c of the learning curve as stuff is progressively added to the scheme.
Keep in mind Stringer isn't working with the oline right now as well. May not make a difference, but he'll factor in when healthy and likely start.
