Title: It's worth the risk of hiring Martin/Hill just to see Beasley and Walker play.

Once in a lifetime talents.  It's worth the risk of hiring these guys just to see them play.

Give them a 4 year contract.  They can determine their own future based on the success they have.

Well I think it is safe to say that a great coach could have a starting five of Stewart, Hoskins, and then a few of his recruits, and Colon or Bennett or Kent is not going to win many games even with a HOF coach. I would take my chances with a relitavley unproven coach with a starting five of Stewart, Beasley, Hoskins, Walker and some other guy or maybe Sutton. I think that you have to take the talent that Hill, and Martin can recruit.
