If he did take the uk job, I honestly have to wonder why...he's a Texas boy, and could have built an empire at A&M...at uk, he'll be just another "Tubby Smith".
Am I missing something here?

Yes, A&M is a football school. uk is a basketball school. 'Nuff said

The MVC is a better basketball conference than the Big 12 now, no question. It isn't even close now.

It's all about the Benny's. As we have learned the past few weeks loyalty doesn't mean anything. You have an administration in Arkansas fire a coach for making the tournament (though they did sneak in). A coach after one year and a #1 recruiting class leave to go "home". And now, a coach leave after agreeing to an extension days earlier. Now, I have a feeling we are going to see players leaving because of what happened. Oh well, I doubt the troops that are fighting a dumb war are really worried about Huggins being a Traitor! :violin:

Wasn't A&M averaging well under 5k per game at about midseason? Sad for a top 25 program.
BG played his hand very well: force A&M to pony up a huge deal then force a real basketball school to do better. Well done Billy, well done.

If he goes to uk he's an idiot, and that's why I think Billy D. is very smart.
Look, both A&M and Florida are loaded, they'll pay you huge, and both places consider basketball success the cherry on top, as long as football is winning, and basketball is at least making the NCAA tourney and performing well you're golden as basketball coach at A&M and Florida.
You go to uk, and every other sport could win the National Title, but if you aren't doing it in Basketball, everybody is bitching.

Does Kentucky have a future AA point guard and a stud inside player sitting there waiting for Billy Clyde to take over?
