There are just too many to have a separate thread every time someone new ranks KSU in the preseason top 10.
Here ya go:
10. Kansas State
My guess: Nobody leaves early.
My explanation: It's been a while since Bob Huggins had two prospects as good as Bill Walker and Michael Beasley.

The stunner in the preseason top 10 is Kansas State. Yes, one season after hiring Bob Huggins, the major payoff begins. Kansas State returns three starters and adds Bill Walker, who hardly got started when he suffered a season-ending knee injury, and Michael Beasley, the 6-foot-9 beast recently chosen MVP of the McDonald’s All-Star game.
Anticipation for 2008 will be off the charts in Manhattan, and Kansas State-Kansas games could be some of the nation’s best.
And not to worry, Wildcat fans, Huggins isn’t going anywhere. Next year is a payoff season. You don’t leave it on the table, even for your alma mater and hometown. Maybe the next time the West Virginia job comes open. Not now.

16. Kansas State
Kansas State 2006-07 Record: 33-12, 10-6
Why: Cartier Martin and Lance Harris are gone, but Bob Huggins (assuming he doesn't take the job at West Virginia) brings in one of the best recruiting classes they've ever had in Manhattan. Michael Beasley has the ability to carry this squad in the Big 12. He's not Kevin Durant, but he could be a difference maker.

16. Kansas State (23-12)
Everybody figured Bob Huggins would get it rolling in the Little Apple, but perhaps not this soon. After narrowly missing out on the NCAA Tournament in his first season, Huggins has the Wildcats poised to crash the dance in 2008 with Rivals.com's top-ranked recruiting class, led by No. 1 prospect Michael Beasley. Beasley and former five-star prospect Bill Walker, who's recovering from a torn ACL, should form a dynamic duo.
