Title: Summer jobs?
Post by: ksuno1stunner on April 02, 2007, 07:04:37 PM
Can anybody hook me up with a sweet summer job/or know of one?  My work ethic may be in question (fired from Sirloin Stockade after a month) but it's better now.  Good GPA.  Free premium www.ksufans.com information.

Starbucks is hiring. You could be a barista. Pita Pit is also hiring. I think Best Buy might be too. Those are the only ones I know of though. Why did they fire you from Sirloin Stockade?

I worked a middle school day camp for MPRD this summer. Twice a week took the kids to Worlds of Fun, Oceans of Fun, T-Bones games etc. Almost 7 bucks an hour and only had about 5-10 kids a day. It was pretty nice and I'd do it again but I won't be there this summer, look into it.

*bump*

Stunner and anyone else interested, I received this email for some of our students today.  I'm guessing they've got quite a few spots open but if you're interested you'll probably want to look into it asap.

The Women in Engineering & Science Program here at K-State needs your help!

This summer we will be offering our 8th annual science and engineering workshop for middle school girls. We need K-State students (female or male) to serve as mentors for these girls.

 GROW Summer Workshop: June 18-20

Role of a mentor: You will be paired up with another K-State student and will be assigned a group of middle school girls. You will help the girls get around campus during the day and keep groups on schedule. We are looking for help during the day time hours of 7am – 4pm.

Rate of pay: $6 per hour.  Depending on your hours breakfast and lunch will be provided.

This is an awesome experience and you will be amazed at the impact you can make in these young women’s lives! Feel free to check out the info on our website from past workshops and email me with any questions you may have. http://www.k-state.edu/grow/general/pastevents.htm

If you are interested in joining our team please contact me by May 15th.

It could be some kind of animal related research or something.  As Leyton scolded him, he talked about the time he give some one a "toungue lashing" for using language you only see in scholarly papers on a message board.

I hate it when they give you the address to the apartment complex but don't tell you which complex it is.

How nice of a car would it be? If you're talking about a crappy Lexus then no, it wouldn't be that weird..

The old ones blow. The new ones have 260 hp, 4WD, a v6 engine and still get 30 mpg.

nope... i don't think there are any orientals working there anymore. i don't know if john is still working there, definitely not this summer, and ray left a long time ago. i think his brother says he works there, but i have never seen him work... ever, and i've been there for coming up 3 years.
