"I'm going to stay four years," he said with a smile.

If the NBA needs its own ‘minor league’ system, they should form one itself and leave universities out of it.

Great idea!  They should do that!

Maybe they could call it a "Development League." (http://www.nba.com/dleague/)  :poundon:

"If Beasley were not a stud on the basketball court, he would most likely not be planning on attending college, nor would anyone encourage him to."

This is my favorite part of the article.  His might as well of said that black kids can only play basketball and aren't smart enough to go to college.

Jealous much?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't guys like Durrent and Oden just play an entire season of basketball?  Interesting how this isn't worth writing about until K-State lands one of these "scholarship wasters".

Archive this stuff, when one of these guys heads to ku in the next couple years, Mr Moore had better not suddenly change his tune.

Wonder what that tool's take is on Julian Wright, Brandon Rush (especially this one), etc..

Seriously, they are crapting their pants.

I like this leap of faith:

Quote
“I’m just wasting time here,” Beasley told a Washington Post reporter several weeks ago about going to high school, an opinion he’s sure to take with him to Manhattan.

FWIW, I think the draft rules should be like baseball's draft - you can get drafted right after high school, but if you don't go pro, you're pretty much locked in to two years of college.  I'll enjoy this rule while it lasts, though.  :)

Bill Self can not recruit at our level.

Period.

If they had lived up to their hype/ranking a couple of ku players would've been one or two and done by now and they'd probably have a Final Four, if not a national title.  But even with 6 top 30, 4 top 15, and 3 top 10 RSCI players on this year's team, they couldn't even make the Final 4 and only one of those playears would have a chance to go high in the first round in this year's draft.  You only complain about 1 and done players when you don't have any on your team despite several great recruiting classes in a row.

He's put words in Beasley's mouth about five different times in that article. Isn't this illegal or does it have to be a false direct quote? Is this the same douche that reported that Walker had raped a chick based on an internet rumor??

The only thing that article shows is that KSU has passed ku in Athletics and Academics.

Somehow, despite having had numerous McDonald's All Americans that could have declared for the NBA draft if not for the age rule, the author manages to leave the University of Kansas totally unscathed.

Great journalism there.  The UDK has really become laughable.  Well, I suppose it always has been.

Good Lord!  Its not that bad of an article from a reality perspective but his bias and writing ability make it an absolute piece of sh*t!
