Title: MC AA dunk contest update (don't read if you want to be surprised wed)
Post by: fatty fat fat on March 26, 2007, 08:51:01 PM
Bayless missed every one of his dunks. I mean every one.Stinks.
Beasley and Griffin are the finalist.  They both score 50 and are about to do their final dunks.  Weak contest by the way. No guards.
By the way.....we will all hate Beasley next year. He's really abnoxious.

Alright....Blake Griffin won by 1pt over Freeman. Beasley missed all of his dunks in the final round. Normally I'd not tell you the results and tell you to tune in. However, do not even bother. Trust me. This event stunk. Thank goodness I'm here for work, otherwise, I'd be pissed that I had to watch this garbage. Truly an all around horrible high school jam frest. The dunks were just flat out weak.

The three finalists were Austin Freeman, Michael Beasley and Blake Griffin. Freeman, a Georgetown signee, scored a 41 in the semis. Beasley, a Kansas State signee, and Griffin, an Oklahoma signee, both scored perfect 50 point dunks in the semis to move on.

Beasley went with a between the legs windmill, his trademark dunk contest dunk. Griffin stood at the free throw line with his back to the basket, bounced the ball off the backboard, caught it and hammered it home.

In the finals, Beasley mised a toss off of the backboard/between the legs dunk twice. Griffin did another power dunk and claimed the crown.

That would make it a pretty awesome dunk contest IMO.  Does he realize how hard that is?

Well, the dunk contest at Midnight Madness next year should be slightly better than the "awkward layup" contest we had this year.

Damnit, now you've officially confused me.  You normally have a planet sized man-crush on K-State athletes as well as soon-to-be K-State athletes and that is understandable.  However, with this logical/honest direction you've taken in your post... well... it vexes me, I'm terribly vexed.

Hmmmm... I guess I should have recognized that.  Regardless... waks is on the list now as well.  Nerds should never talk smack, not even on the internet.   :D

I was on the list as of last week when I called one of your threads retarded. Refer to the Classless Cats board in the thread about hookers and Wichita if you have any more questions..

Seriously, if he pulled it off, that would be the best dunk ever in the contest.

Does anyone else feel ripped off we didn't get to see Bill "Popcorn" Walker in the slam dunk contest?

you do realize he's recovering from knee surgery, right?

he coulda gone stewie with a tricky reverse layup, but i don't think the judges would be impressed.

Obviously I don't want to see him now.  I just meant, in normal circles, he would've been a high school senior and, without the injury, would've been in the slam dunk contest along with Beasley.  It would've been cool to have the two finalists be our recruits.  We'll just have to know in our hearts that's the way it would have been.

I wonder if he means really obnoxious like Giddens was at the dunk contest. I know i hated Giddens the very second i saw him on there, and i didnt even know he was going to ku then. Only difference is, Beasley actually has talent.
