Dog probably sits around listening to the beetles all day while tripping ball sacks.

saw the same thing happen to a dove last week on ward parkway. he just sat there as a pontiac minivan rolt (sp?) right over him. nothing left but a cloud of feathers.   honestly it's really just a humane way to cull the species.  don't worry about him, pretty amazing story you ended up with, win-win situ.

Yesterday I saw five squirrels chasing a sixth squirrel that seems to have some sort of birth defect.  Like his stail was really short and not very bushy and he was running sort of like a Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!).  I think the five squirrels were trying to cull him because they were jumping on him and he was trying really hard to get away.

I come into work this morning and there is a BABY FALCON in a box.

Apparently he hitched a ride inside an unoccupied locomotive from California to Kansas.

Cutest hobo ever!? I think so.

Co-Worker is taking him to an animal rehab/rescue place.

That's a kestrel (sparrow hawk).  My buddy has one that he hunts with.  Yours looks like a young female, probably 1 year old.  You can feed her grasshoppers or raw chicken breast or liver or whatever.  I'm surprised she requires care though?  I figure just let her out of the box and she'll be fine.

Benji, you should definitely teach this hawk to fish for you.

keep feeding it animal crackers. it will be more comfortable because of the animal shapes and it needs to carb load for its recovery.

I will take that hawk and raise him with my eagles/falcons.

Tell him that Obama traded 5 terrorists for a marine desserter and then take a photo of his reaction please.

Best idea so far. Just ahead of teaching him how to fish with me.

Unfortunately the hawk has a new home at whatever animal rehab/rescue place a co worker took him too.

Yesterday I saw a fox in my backyard.  I made some dying rabbit calls and he trotted around my neighbor's house up front so I went out front and did it again.  He came towards me, about 20 yards away (I was hidden behind my truck) and then he crossed the street and trotted down the sidewalk giving zero fucks.  He was probably lost because all the houses look the same.
