Nicname's house also home to huge swarm of bees! (now with pics!)

They were entering into the wall of the house near the front porch, I noticed them about a month ago and today the beekeepers finally came by.   holy crap, when they took off the siding to remove them it revealed a hive about 3 feet tall and 1.5 feet wide.  I got some free honey out of the deal.  It was pretty neat.

I took a pic or two and may post.

My dads garage had 2 16 inch stud spaces 10 foot tall packed with honeybees.  Waited until 0 degree day in the winter and ripped the siding off.  They all dropped out of the air after 10-15 seconds.  The honey tasted amazing though.

True story, when we first found out I didn't know anything of the law and decided to "raid" them.  So while I'm spraying my gf pulls up and starts in, "oh, no! dont kill the bees its illegal!" 

So i'm like, "Oh crap!" and I start spraying water to try and save them.

Luckily it worked.  Funny thing is I'm pretty much a softy when it comes to killing animals so this was not the usual pattern of behavior for me.  Oh well.

That is terrifying.  I had a swarm of bees chase after me one time and I freaked out.  Did not get stung though.

It was the worst, scariest thing that had ever happened to me.  It took several years for me not to have near panic attacks around buzzing sounds

Bees are getting to be very rare. I would love to have a hive near my house, but I definitely don't want one in my walls. I hope you are renting, nicname.
