Best Restaurant in KC.  Not really close IMO.  Unless you just don't like Thai food which is ok too.

To add onto this, their collab with Buck Tui people, Muni in River Market, is also really good. Also late kitchen for those who need that type of thing downtown.

GF and I went there Tuesday. Was very very tasty. Really loved their Thaiquitos.

I'm not going to remember the Thai names of the dishes, but I tried what was essentially a beef rib with curry, drunken noodles, and crab rice.  The server said they change dishes seasonally but keep the drunken noodles type dish year round so it's probably the most popular but perhaps also just the most approachable.

Phad Kee Mow Nua ????????????   25 (VE option upon request) stir-fried fresh flat rice noodle , flank steak, egg, gailan, bell pepper, serrano, Thai basil

but yes, the menu is seasonal and they change often.

can confirm Waldo Thai is goated. had it for the first time last month on small plate wednesday, which is apparently a different menu every week? ordered every single item on the menu, was absolutely incredible. can't speak highly enough. waiter was super cool, gave us a free dessert because he liked our vibes.

my wife and I usually just do happy hour/small plates when we go!

Too many great options, the entrée's are enormous and there's no way to do apps and an entree unless you just want the leftovers.

If you are ever there and they have a fried chicken option get that

Going to have to revisit Waldo Thai. We may be the only people that didn't have a good experience there. Must have been our order or just a bad day. Sat at the bar on small plate Wednesday. Order spring rolls and some type of rib thingy. The spring rolls were just basic fried rolls that could have come from anywhere, fine but average at best. The ribs however weren't even edible. They were basically tiny bones with a bit of meat on them that you couldn't pull the meat away from. Nearly impossible to eat. We chalked it up to a bad day and had a couple of nice cocktails and bailed. Will try again sometime, as we are def in the minority for experiences at this place.

We all got nachos (A+), steak tacos (B), Smash burg (A-), Thaiquitos (C). Have to try those again, it was the last thing we got so maybe already full so didn't hit

That's fair, we got Thaiquitos first so probably why it was so tasty.

Also got the Sticky Ribs and the Zaap Zaap Shrimp, I'd give them all A's, the Shrimp had a really nice spicy tiger cry sauce

I had Chingu for lunch and it was good, although the menu was much more limited than their dinner.  I'm sure it makes sense for getting people back to work within an hour but I was a little bit sad.
