Also, i'm all for giving Cano a standing O tonight.

This.  He took his beating like a man.

Yeah, and if nothing else... he will be super confused. Someone call Kietz's radio show and spread the word. While you're at it, call him a poopy liar face.
Back off, man. I'm a scientist.

I really don't understood why people think booing a 30 year old man who makes 14 mil a year is classless. Is it classless when Yankee's fans boo any Red Sox player anytime anywhere? There's a reason it's know as a "Bronx cheer" so shut the eff up about it Yankee fans. Obviously Cano never really had any plans of picking a Royal for the HR derby so he probably should have just kept his mouth shut. If Escobar had been the Royals rep he could have got away with it, but when the teams leading homerun hitter is the pick and you don't use him it just goes to show he never was going to do it anyway.

I also love how people are using, well Fielder, Bautista, and Trumbo hit the most HR's of anyone in the competition so he made the right choice, as a talking point. How do we know if he'd have picked Butler he wouldn't have won the whole damn thing?

Anyone else catch George Brett's mention of shitting himself??  He said something along the lines of "having poopies in your pants" or something like that.

Please do not compare Yankees - Red Sox booing to the Cano booing. Mizzou fans booing Bill Self? That's more similar to NY-Boston booing. That's rivalry booing.
Royals fans booing Cano is misplaced butt hurt booing. Which is the lamest booing.

Bout to head to LC's, then fanfest, then the K. 3 days in a row is doing some serious damage to me.

The only way the booing could have been better is if there were more of it.  It was not lame.  It was fantastic.

Just want to thank Cano, ESPN and the MLB for manufacturing the most drama and excitement the Royals organization and its fans have had in 2.5 decades.

Another big shout out to Nomar for saying that the K was so nice with the Fountains, and the fans so friendly, yearning for a nice competitive game . . . that he felt like taking a nap in the outfield when he was playing.

Its like in the days before Snyder when K-State would kick that 57 yard field goal to only be down 31-3 at half, it felt good.

Yep Dax.   the bitter/loser mentality of royals fans is rearing its ugly head in this thread.  maybe if royals fans focused some of their negative energy on management instead of robi cano they wouldnt be stuck with the worst franchise in baseball.   Sad really.

Yeah, I liked that too.  But, then he told Berman they were hitting balls in the direction of STL.  which was also false.

The K faces NE.

I don't care that they booed, hell I've booed some ridiculous things in the OOD that normally would be absurd to boo. But what really gets me is that everyone on the radio thinks:

KC fans booing Cano = smart fans

Smart fans mean they know the game, not that they boo because some liar on WHB told them to. In fact I would argue the mob mentality, however fun and enjoyable it may be, is stupid.

Great, both dumbasses on PTI (Bob Ryan and Adande) thought we were booing Cano because he was a Yankee.  Good grief.

BTW Bob Ryan spits so much when he talks.

Keep melky until Cain is good and damned ready.  Nothing wrong with keeping butler as a DH as long as he's reasonable about his salary.  The Team needs starting pitching, and will have to go to the free agent market and spend some cash to be competitive.

Billy is in the 1st year of a long term deal. He's not going anywhere. As far as Cain and Melky go, Cain is ready - he's batting over 300, OPSing over 850 and playing a great center field. But Melky is playing his ass off. I believe Melky signed a one year deal with a club option for a 2nd year. If I'm remembering that right, we will pick up that option and keep him around another year. I'd rather trade Frenchy, shift Melky to right and hand center over to Cain.

We desperately need a frontline starter, but this year's free agent class is pretty sorry. Best bet is to try and package a trade for someone like Clayton Kershaw.

Limestone and Applejack All-Star Pak at the K?

Color me jelly.
If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.
