There probably have been some worse teams over the past 20 years or so than next year's Royals team is going to be, but I think next year's team will probably seem like the worst in franchise history to me.

What a strange first day of the offseason. At least three coaches let go, looks like Rusty is finally going to get the roving minor league instructor slot he's wanted, Ned admits in his presser that game management and strategy aren't his best skills, and Dayton may leave. Stay tuned, guys, it's gonna be an interesting next few months.

I'm coming around to don't sign Hosmer, and have Duffy on the trading block starting in spring training but wait for the right deal, whenever it comes. Blow it up. I'd even listen to offers for Salvy.

Could we get a couple of decent starting pitchers for Duffy? I've been thinking that might be a wise strategy.

I mean guys, do you see a core of Dozier, Cuthbert, Bonifacio, Mondesi etc being anything special? I don't. Don't sign Hos, and listen to any good offers especially for Danny.

Whit is fine, I don't think with the team they have now they'll be some 103 loss team next year, but still.

Man the comments. I can't believe the amount of people who don't want downtown baseball.

ppl think of it as a historical landmark at this point. Especially with the fountains and recent success. They gave two effs about this type of talk 5 years ago.

<------- wants to keep the K

We have a stadium that is unique in MLB, and as a city have done a terrible job at preserving anything historic. The reason is that things 40-60 years old don't seem to be worth preserving, and we tear them down all the time.

Every stade besides Fenway, Wrigley, Dodgers, and Oakland are all the new downtown style parks. They're great, but its cool that we have the only stade built when it was built.

Didn't Atlanta just move to the suburbs?

There are a lot of mlb stades in the suburbs, I think cf3 was more talking about the age than the location
