Brooks LOVED the Big 12 Conference.  By leaving, they are tarnishing the legacy of their favorite son.

I take my original post back.

Nebraska is doing a great honor to Brooks Berringer by helping the Big 12 die just like Brooks did - lots of screaming, flopping around, and crashing.  The only difference is that the conference hasn't died like a bitch, or pooped its pants (yet).
