Kansas State Football / Scribe's South Dakota Review
« on: September 02, 2018, 04:58:20 PM »
Alex Barnes shouldn't get another touch the rest of the season. I've always considered Silmon a better all purpose back and still don't get the love for him.

Alex Delton hasn't improved at all, still telegraphs throws and should've had 3 legit picks. Not a D1 QB. He's a poor man's Sams.

I legit don't think our receivers could drop anymore passes.

Special teams looked good.

For most of the game we didn't get any QB pressure, I dont remember us dailing up any blitzes, which is pretty normal at this stage for playing vanilla.

Shelley didn't look good in coverage, beat deep over the middle ( I believe it was him) multiple times.

We gave up how many points to South Dakota ??

McCrane got cut.  I think he was perfect in the preseason with two 50+ yd FGs.  Would be surprised if he didn't get a shot somewhere before the season was done.

That's ridiculous, dude played great

Is that good?

Currently, No. 11 dual-threat QB and No. 197 overall recruit in the country in ESPN rankings...

Last time we had a top 200 recruit out of high school? Probably looking at Lamark Brown, Ell Roberson, Monty Beisel, Chris Boggas - somewhere in there.

This is one of the hhighest rated recruits out of high school we have landed that I can remember if he stays. This is a huge huge get to start the class. A four star ESPN top qb will bring in more recruits too, this isn't getting enough love.

I have this weird feeling College Avenue might look a lot different before to long.

Currie and the Animal were pushing something like this with their Gateway to the University stuff.

Hope the Mustang can make it happen.

All this crap is already in the works: http://www.k-state.edu/northcampuscorridor/

Not what I'm looking at.

Construction may not have started yet, but Currdawg would've at least announced a new indoor or south end reno already.

I miss him.

Multiples are coming... just not football.

Are they all projects Currie got the ball rolling on, gave a blue print (I know, I know, the stang changed the design of the baseball/softball renos) for, and got the fundraising more than started on, or is the Mustang getting something going soon that we don't know about?

That might be one of them.

This is an interesting class, I wish we would have snagged a few more LB though.

According to 247, Phillip Brooks (who has a gray shirt offer from us) runs a 4.30 40.
https://247sports.com/Player/Phillip-Brooks-46052276

Any guesses on what he actually runs?
https://www.hudl.com/video/3/4061703/59d52aafd45e4a20f8575dd2

That kid is deceptively fast, great vision, and solid hands for a running back based on the video. Reminds me of a Warmack type, he made the other teams look pretty silly with some simple cuts. 4.30 40, I'm not sure but he's definitely got speed, I'm surprised he doesn't have more offers.

That would be at least 1022 entire days between games played

entire

This is an entirely solid post.

Here is the Daniel Green breakdown:

He was supposed to be on the team this entire past year and possibly start. He didn't qualify, no idea what he has been doing in the meantime.

He is now qualified and will join up with the cats sometime soon, however because of playbook stuff and other things, he is going to redshirt this upcoming year also.

Therefore it has been two entire years since he graduated high school and last played football.

We'll have to wait quite a bit too see him (redshirting Fall 2018), but this is good news.

It's just like he went to a juco, but not really lol. I don't even know what to say at this point, kid sits out two complete years when supposively he has the best skills at lb on the team.

Does he sit out a year ?

Yes, but he'll have three years of eligibility remaining.

Only guy this has worked out well for is AB. Hope he makes it though

I thought you liked stars

I do, I just wish he could start right now.

How many random +20 yard passes were incomplete to him this year? Instead of trying to work with our shity receivers we are throwing deep to our fullback ? Only a dad would call crap up like this to pad his kids stats.

I'm not saying he wasn't one of our better players, because I think he did great in a lot of aspects but some of the crap we tried with him was just dumb.

Per espn, here is Dimel's receiving stats:
REC   YDS   AVG   LNG   TD
8   91   11.4   33   1

KU has been obtaining 4 star busts since 2008. It really doesn't matter. They don't know what to do with them. This old song and dance gets old every year. Stop bitching, good grief. Act like you've been here before.

You are trying to make up for the fact that they didn't win a single conference game and won 1 game all year and yet they still are able to out recruit us. Pathetic.
