So did K-State actually sell booze at the baseball games, or what?

Not at the NCAA tournament games.  NCAA rule.

Don't know if this deserves it's own thread but Gene Stephenson is getting the boot at Wichita State.

probably not.  1 post is about sufficient.

maybe we could bring him on as a base coach or something.

I doubt we bring him on as i think we've got a very good staff at the present time.  I just can't believe dude wins conference title and they are likely going to dismiss him.
I feel like they will try to make a run at BMBH. Anybody know how much Brad makes? Said Stephenson made 531k per year.

With bonuses, I think Hill will make around 260,000ish this year.  If he wins the NC, tack on another 80,000 (I think).

How's the pig Aggie meltdown going?

I hope OSU smokes them in 2 games.   They must have the Academic Admission Standards of a High School the way they get everyone elses academic rejects.

Cats win 20-11.

WSU brings in the right fielder to pitch.......

20 runs......most ever allowed by WSU in NCAA tornament play.

Geez, bat cats....save some for tomorrow!

18-7 now.

I live how delusional Shocker fans are. They lost basically every game to teams that reached the tournament, didn't even win their own shitty conference, Had to win the MVC tournament to qualify, got swept by KSU, are the four seed, and yet it's their regional to lose. How many four seed have ever advanced to the super regional round? I'm guessing very few.

Stony Brook made it all the way to Omaha as a 4 seed last year.  But, to your point, it doesn't happen very often as they were only the third 4 seed to ever win a regional.

Totally forgot about SB, that was a really neat story. Still, the odds are against a 4 seed advancing.

The other notable 4 seed was Fresno State a couple years ago...and they won it all.  It was compared to a 16 seed winning the basketball tourney.  No idea who the 3rd 4 seed was.  But, you know, it's Wichita's regional to lose.

The other 4 seed was Missouri.  Even when they do something notable, no one remembers.

Anyone know what percentage of hosts have advanced to the super regionals? I would kill a homeless KU grad to see the Cats advance...

The past 2 years 10 of 16 hosts made it to the super regionals.  In 2010, 2009 and 2008 13 of 16 made it.

#Boozecats didn't want that trophy. It's ugly and you can't drink beer out of it.

I know!  It's the same type of trophy they used to give to division winners in football.  Really not a true champion trophy.....more like a participant ribbon.

When will the 16 regional sites be announced today?

Tomorrow at 11 AM on ESPN U.

8-8 now.  Really wish we were the home team in this game.  Hope I'm wrong, but it looks like the team that bats last will probably win.

Do not want Arkansas.

They're off this year.  Got swept by Nebraska.

Don't care. They have talent and experience. There are many other pud 2 seeds we could get.

how do they choose who goes where? Do they take the worst 1 vs the best 2 the best 1 vs the worst 2 etc?

I am not 100% sure, but I think it is heavily weighted on geography.  They really try to keep teams close to their home.  If we are a host and Arkansas is not, I would be pretty certain that they will come here.  I don't see anywhere close for them to go other than other SEC schools sites, and they won't go to those.  Louisville is a possibility, I guess.

I love the guy trying to hug the team through the netting at the end.
