The guy is a super bowl winner with more football knowledge than the entire KU fanbase. Plus, he's only had one season. The guy needs a minimum of 7 years to fully turn this ship. Even if they don't win a lot this season the writing is on the wall. They were much more competitive and I see that trend continuing. He's getting the talent, he's instilling winning into the program and he's making huge headways on getting something done with the stadium (according to sources on KU boards). KU fans need to realize that you don't just start winning day one when taking over that dumpster fire Turner Gill left. There is an instilled attitude of loseryness amongst the Gill players that Charlie is going to have to work out of them.

17 of the first round draft was 4/5 star players (Rivals rankings). Over half. I would like to know what percentage of college football scholarship players are 4/5 star players. I would guess about 5%?

DT - This group was my most pleasant suprise of the weekend. I probably spent the most time watching them. I think OL is the most important part of any team, but because we know what we have their I spent most of my time watching the DL, the unit I feel is the most important on the defense.
When Mo Lattimore was doing drills for the coaches he made the statement that he was going to be a really good coach this year. I took that to mean his players are going to make him look good. He did talk about how young the group was, but that they were just going to have to step up and be ready.
Mo said that he had two more Juco guys comming in. Who else is coming besides Brown? I couldn't remember.
Reed and Britz were with the ones.
Britz is a stud. Kid is going to be really, really good for us over the next three years. He will just countinue to get better and better.
Reed - He has really come a long way. Eats up space and clogs things up. He occupies blockers which can really make your linebackers look good. He is not flashy and won't post a lot of stats, but he will do his job.
Seiwert - he has some quckness on the inside. Plays with good pad level. He could be disruptive. Hopefully he can continue to add good weight.
Gates- I remember last year at the clinic I posted that I thought this kid had something. He was a walkon, but there was just something I liked about his ability. Then later it was reported he was moving to OL and I really started doubting my evaluation. Gates was flat out the most impressive player I saw this weekend. He was dominating our interior OL in the one-on-one and two-on-two drills. He is really big at 6-3 316 and he moves really well. I think he could add upper body strength and be even better. I really like his attitude, intelligence, coachability, and enthusiasm. Gates and Hood both stood out as guys that were out there having fun.
Demonte Hood - I think he could be really good. He needs to learn to use his hands better. He is listed at 6-0 303. That seemed about right. Kid is powerful and stocky. I feel he has tremendous potential. I used to coach near his high school (Bowie, Arlington, TX) so I chatted him up a little bit. He seemed really excited for this year. He seemed confident and said he was gonna be out there making plays this season. Asked me my name and shook my hand. Seemed like a good guy.
I think all five of these guys can play. Add in two Jucos and I feel a lot better about this group than I did entering last season.

Now is the time of year I like to find at least one insider type person who knows what's going on within the program to give me secret information that they cannot share publically. What happens is you PM me the info and tell me what parts I can share or not share. In the past, many high level coaches and whatnot have just told me not to share anything but were big enough studs to just let me in on it. THAT'S FINE! I have a long track record of not posting anything secret that should not be posted. Just you shooting the breeze with your real life friend steve dave and all secrets stay secret. Whatever you are comfortable with.

I have a 5 year old whirlpool side by side fridge/freezer. it no longer stops running. everything is frozen solid for the last 24 hours. vents are clear, cleaned out the tremendous amount of lint in the coils, the works really. still doesn't shut off. is there a quick fix or am I stuck paying a guy to come fix it?

made the mistake of.listening to OUR students on 91.9 including our beloved Spencer Kietzman. pretty revealing stuff why our student body SUCKED this year. its honestly a little disheartening listening to them basically act apatheitc about weber.........and lamemt how supoosedly "money" was frank was in the ncaa tourney eveb though he only advanced past first weekend once. ive defended their crappy attendance in the past .....but screw them. idiots. self off half that section to general public.
