Is it just me or is like KU getting a lot of over-the-top pre-season hype? I get it, they now have some talent that they’ve been lacking, but that somehow makes them the team to beat?
My conspiracy mind thinks this is all a setup job, to raise their profile for an SEC or B10 poach and weaken the BigXII. They’re not THAT good, right?!

So BXII gets a fat paycheck on Day 1 and could potentially use that money to pay for exit fees for other schools in their respective conferences. The BXII could lessen the monetary penalties for FSU, Clemson, UNC, Miami (any others?) if they jumped ship for us. Could potentially offer more money and incentives to said programs and bring them to our camp over B10 and SEC. Could also use that money to 'boot' lesser programs from the rolls, if that was needed.
Investors get a slice of the earnings every year, which would now theoretically be substantially increased with those programs coming to the conference. Investors like a quick ROI, so maybe they're seeing this conference being a national contender within 5 years. Sounds fun.

I don’t know the names specifically, other than they are causing quite a tizzy on some of the BigXII sports talk shows I listen to. These things seem to manifest into reality.

In a few years, if there's a new top-tier-$$$ division, what's stopping someone from creating a 'university' in a highly populated area, with the money and resources to literally just build and buy a team.
If anything, it could make for a funny movie. Think "Old School", but with college football.

The question would be more like “hey are you guys thinking of changing this cause it doesn’t seem very fair.”Okie Lite getting screwed over because if it was the H2H format they are at the top.They have to clarify now because schools & journalists are asking.
This is the biggest part I don't get about the whole story. The tiebreaker rule isn't vague at all. It clearly says if the tied teams haven't all played each other then you go to the next step. What would have prompted the questions in the first place?
The extra comma is weird but inconsequential. There isn’t a way to read the rule where the comma changes the meaning.
I did not go to law school to know how consequential a comma can be.
