They're off this year.  Got swept by Nebraska.

Don't care. They have talent and experience. There are many other pud 2 seeds we could get.

how do they choose who goes where? Do they take the worst 1 vs the best 2 the best 1 vs the worst 2 etc?

I am not 100% sure, but I think it is heavily weighted on geography.  They really try to keep teams close to their home.  If we are a host and Arkansas is not, I would be pretty certain that they will come here.  I don't see anywhere close for them to go other than other SEC schools sites, and they won't go to those.  Louisville is a possibility, I guess.

How big of a dumbass do you have to be to think that KU won't win the conference next year?  GPC is FULL of people saying KU won't win it with that many freshmen.

I'd take KU versus the field to win the conference.

I would have picked ku even if wiggins wasn't going there.

• He thinks that with the Big12 GOR expiring 2 years before the ACC gives WVU a very good chance to get into the SEC.  Apparently he thinks the SEC will wait 12 years until WVU becomes available, but won't wait an additional 2 years after that to get anyone from the ACC that's more desirable.
• His source is a faculty member of FSU's school of law that was the go between FSU and Big12, and gives the guy's name.  A Tallahassee newspaper reporter claims he had the same source and was told the same stuff.  The source was working on a move of FSU and Clemson to the Big12 in 2014, but UT was pushing back saying they could do better than Clemson.  FSU and Clemsons both would have gone if an invitation came.  At that time the Big12 moved from Neinas to Bowlsby and UT was able to pressure Bowlsby into not taking Clemson, thus an invitation never came.  He claims he also got a hold of a member of the FSU BoT, names the guy, and that he verified the story.
• He claims he's not giving anymore sources because it would cause people at Ohio State to lose their jobs, so Limestone was right.
• He then again claims that this almost assures WVU to the SEC when the Big12 GOR expires.

What happened to the 10 year plan WVU had in place to get into the AAU, paving the way for them to be in the BIG??

Yes. I understand Williams was the safer hire, but Self had a much higher upside. Look at his resume up to that point. He was 35-13 at Illinois, with 2 Elite 8's and a sweet 16 under his belt.

Roy had played for multiple national titles.  The only "upside" Self had is his age.

At the time, Roy was far more highly regarded.  Hell, if you asked a ku fan at that time if they wanted Roy or Bill, Roy would have won hands down.  Now ask the same question and nobody would trade.

I was just thinking that if Bill Self retired, left for the NBA, etc., who would ku replace him with??  When Roy left, Self was the obvious choice at the time, though no one knew he would be as great as he is.

I don't know who they would get that would be acceptable.  Do you go with Turgeon now??  I doubt it.  Would Crean leave Indiana?  Maybe.  I don't think Calipari would jet Kentucky, but you still have to call.  Do you try Shaka Smart or Brad Stevens?  Who would be acceptable to the fans?

This.  After KSU...UNC is KU's next super bowl team.  They piss pound them, and they set them up perfectly.  Playing like crap and not blowing out WKY.  UNC players thinking they have a chance...then pow.  Next thing you know they're looking up and ku has them down 10 points and it's the under 16 time out of the first half.

We've seen this before.  I expect nothing different this go around.  Plus, screw Roy.  Still hate that rough rider.
