that sounds awful. probably 100 times worse than my knees. what do you think caused it, and what were the surgeries for exactly?

Ehh it is what it is.  I have knee cap alignment problems, so basically it's like a car tire being out of alignment and riding more on one side than the other.  Over time it just wears down the cartilage and they pop and can't take much abuse.

Right knee had chunks of cartilage knocked off(1) from basketball and torn patella tendon(3) for each surgery.  Left knee was a preventative surgery(2) that realigned my knee cap to hopefully prevent what occurred in my right.  Then knocked cartilage off in my left again and that ended my playing days(4).

Apparently TBT and I have the exact same knees. Had the exact same problems. Just had my 4th surgery in April.

Thanks for the clarification guys. Four Kansas kids at GCCC makes me sad. The Jayhawk Conference have won three of the last 10 national championships, I don't think another conference has more in that time frame. So I'm perplexed as to why the schools pressured this change.

This rule is bad for Kansas high school kids and the D1 and D2 schools in the state. It's gonna be great for the NAIA schools in the state though.

The football coach at Garden thought he was at a competitive disadvantage with other schools.

There are a whole bunch of other articles out there on the internet that can expound on the issue from his point of view.

Roster limitations went away completely. Scholarship limits go away next year in the Jayhawk.

Golfing on the Desert Course at Cabo Del Sol later today and the Ocean Course on Saturday. Going more for the views than any type of good golf I may play. Will report back with some pictures.

Mizzou's AD hired Tom Herman at Houston last year. Wouldn't be surprised to see them go that route.

And the Deputy AD at Mizzou was previously the Deputy AD at Memphis.

-there is a street close to campus called duck street
-there is a big bar outside of town called tumbleweeds
-there is Eskimo joes but there is also Mexico joes and a bunch of other joes

I think the italian one went out of biz but maybe I'm wrong

This is correct. Now call "Mojo's". Has a 4 lane bowling alley in it with more of a sports bar theme/menu.

OSU should be better this year. Gundy got rid of a few of those guys that were just recruiters and replaced them with some pretty good coaches. The injury to JW Walsh hurt them in a really bad way last year, and was a big reason why they were really bad for that stretch in October/November. The Rudolph kid is getting better and will be a pretty good quarterback for them although there are a lot of expectations for a kid that hasn't taken a snap in BPS yet.

interesting. now if it were me (it's not), i would've spread the money around a little bit to guys like chad weiberg in order to try to keep them at kstate long term. you really don't want to turn those top level guys over, especially when they're really good.

Chad wanted no part of that.

New to the whole credit card thing. Finishing college in a few weeks and want to get in on the free flights mostly. What are some suggestions for good credit cards? Don't think I'll be living close to an airport with Southwest. That had been recommended to me by someone not on the board.

Ran a 5k this morning. Didn't really train for it. Finished in 28 minutes. Enjoyed it quite a bit. Will continue as long as my knees can hold up.

You guys play with the offense calling the foul? Wouldn't it be easier to have the defense call the foul knowing that if you aren't gonna call the foul you won't get one on the other end?

K State fans are cool.

I completely agree.

The Big 12 is like junior high.  You and WVU were the new kids last year, so you get a short pass on being declared rad or a dweeb.

WVU came in and was a huge bragger about his old junior high and won some friends at first, but later we found out that WVU does not wear deodorant and popped a boner in the shower.

You guys wore cool clothes, and seemed kinda OK. This year we see if your football makes up for really sucky basketball.  You guys are like the kid who kicks ass at dodge ball in P.E., but is otherwise really terrible at sports and got cut from 7th grade basketball (you basically have to be a spaz to get cut from 7th grade basketball btw).

Because I know you want to know, I will tell you.  The cool table at lunch has OU, UT, and KSU sitting at it.  KSU and OU just make fun of UT the whole time and only let UT sit there because their Dad has a lake house with jet skis and four wheelers, and he takes us there all the time.

You guys might (MIGHT), make it to the kinda cool table with KU and OSU this year.  If your basketball AND football doesn't improve, you will be sitting with WVU and ISU with retainers and head gear all over the table and chatting with the janitor.

Oh my, Pete. Very good. go cats.

The questions!

1. What county and state do you consider yourself originally from? (If you're like me and you moved around a lot as a kid and have no ties to your birthplace, put the place you identify most with) Jefferson Co, KS

2. What county and state do you currently live in? Stillwater, OK (don't know the county)

3. Did you attend EMAW? No.

4. If the answer to #3 is yes, did you get a degree from EMAW?

5. If the answer to #3 is no, did you attend another school? If so, where? Ottawa University

6. Did you get a second (or third) degree? If so, where? In process, Oklahoma State
