I thought it was pretty disappointing, but my movie partner claims she enjoyed it. I saw it despite the low low RT score because I liked The Conjuring, and to a lesser extent TC 2, so much. It's almost campy, but not in a good way. Then again, if you go in with really low expectations you might not totally regret wasting your time.

Previews made it look like "Holy crap!" scary, but i'll take your word for it. Nothing good has been out in the theaters all summer, unless you're into the comic book stuff, which I am not. I'll just wait for the Matthew Mcconaughey movie to come out.

I just can't get into Sam Rockwell  (it's this movie right?).  Something about him annoys me.
I think he's terrific and i think the movie's great.  Does an excellent job of building tension using the classic space-thriller/horror stuff (isolation/claustrophobia, etc).

I haven’t seen Barge Gas but I just saw the poster and I’m anxious for it to come out.

Jurassic Park Whatever the Latest Is Called: Bad. First act on the island is ok. Then there’s this long extended sequence on a boat which is basically Dino ER (not kidding - the high drama is effecting a blood transfusion from a T-rex to patch up a Velociraptor gunshot wound), then the dinos arrive at a mansion where rich assholes show up to bid on them, Taken-style. Finally, super-raptor chases our protagonists around the creepy mansion like a cheap horror flick. Who the eff wrote this steaming pile of a screenplay? But kudos to the excellent cinematography managing to showcase the lead actress’s boobs in nearly every shot. Uggg.

OK, are tits large and firm?  Does she have braless nipples pointing hard thru the light and tight shirts? Details plz.
Hot time in Kat town tonight.

Hell or High Water (2016) - 6/7
great cast and writing. pretty straightforward story where you spend 3/4 of the movie waiting for ben foster to F everything up. jeff bridges very enjoyable as always.

Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (2005) - 2/7
is this satire? i guess so (of british culture). is it comedy? not really but sam rockwell is sort of funny. is it sci-fi? not really but it does take place in space, but like, waaaay too low budget to be any good at it. i don't really get what it was trying to do and it kind of felt like a tv movie and i also i fell asleep with like 30 mins left and will probably never finish it.

Hitchhikers movie is mediocre. Book and radio series are great

Holy cow, what a fun movie. Go see this one, folks. Take it from me. If you enjoy having fun at the movies, you'll have so much fun at this movie. It's fun.

Ready Player One was good.  Very original, and I loved all the references to other stuff.  My only real problem is that I didn't care about any of the characters or what happened to them.  Didn't seem like much was ever at stake.
