What should we expect tonight? Tang and Co should have a chance if we can avoid long stretches of ineffective offense.

Looking forward to watching with one of my lil croppings live in the OOD.

Cats!

This is a thread for discussing Arthur Kaluma. I've really enjoyed watching him this season. He seems like a very unique kind of a Swiss Army knife guy with a variety of great tools. Really enjoyed watching him finish at the rim in transition, swish threes and rebound like a maniac against Villanova. What are your thoughts, fellow Catfans? What is his ceiling? I could see him as a second-team all conference type of guy.

Gonna be in the OOD tomorrow night to witness this non-con spectacle. Main thing I'll be watching -- which team will have the best-dressed coach?

The Cats are back on the hardwood again tonight and I'm very excited to watch them. What do we know about ORU?

Got to experience the Cats in the OOD tonight. It was fun to watch them score and dunk and swish threes. Macaleab Rich is incredible. If Nae'Quan comes back, where are we going to find court space for this incredible collection of Cats that Tang has assembled to play basketball? Should we bulldoze WSC to build a new / auxiliary Doom so all the Cats will have a space to showcase their talents?

Jerome Tang Coaches Kansas State Basketball / Post ESU Impressions

What are other Cat fans first impressions of the team after last night? My thoughts (fwiw): Cam Carter looks better than last year. Kaluma, Ames, McNair and Colbert seem to be good at basketball, also. If feeling very positive about the prospects for this season.

The Cats are tied for first in the conference right now. How many wins will it take to claim another regular season Phillips 66? Would 15-3 cover it?

So I was going down a rabbit hole about KS high school basketball coaches and ran across this article about Keith Riley at Hill City. He has been a coach there since 1967. Still the head coach. Has won 3 state titles. Coached his son Geoff to a 2A state title in 1998. Has the ringneck off to a 5-1 start this season. Share incredible KS high basketball stories, ITT. If you like Hoosiers, you will love this thread.

I'm going to be there and I'm excited to send these fine seniors off in style.

ICYMI, BOTC has just laid down the gauntlet / dropped a massive purple poo in the toilet of any Cat fans who are thinking about shirking their senior night duties:

What are your Top 5 Dillon's memories? Mine (in no particular order):

1. 1993 ( 10-9) 13 year old me knew that everything had been made right in the world once again
2. 1998 54-6 in Lawrence - absolute destruction of the Hawks on a cold, miserable day.
3. 2009 17-10 win as Daniel Thomas chokes the life out of our Dillons bros
4. 2016 glorious fall day in MHK with the fam
5. 1997 watching in the student section with my cool older cousins

What is your favorite pen? Right now, I'm really enjoying the Pentel EnerGel 0.7mm. Makes a nice thick line and looks wet when it goes on the page but isn't smudgy under most circumstances. Pilot G2 in 1.0mm is nice, also.

I watched this doc about the 1995 Chicago heatwave last night. Discussed how deaths from the heatwave were a symptom of underlying poverty and despair. Enlightening section about the effects of redlining, as well.

I haven't watched a single minute of their games. How do the Cats stack up against them? Do they compare to anyone we have played this season?

I'm pretty sure I heard Chris Webber say "game recognizes game."
