Looks like that's to hide the hvac stuff

Ribbon board can hide hvac as well, but the rendos seem to lean towards just hiding hvac

I have a feeling that, despite being the same height as what's hiding HVAC/etc, that it will extend the length of the building eventually and be what the ribbon board attaches to.

I don't think the renders show HVAC. That block on top of the ribbon board is probably speakers. Looking at the aerial shot there is a parapet wall that will probably extend up high enough to do a decent job. Just set those bad boys back far enough and I they will be screened fine.

I have a hunch they want at least one traditional style scoreboard in the stadium.   All the others are graphics on a video screen and they probably want some redundancy.

Different size pieces on the buildings. WSC has short long pieces, Vanier 2.0 has taller square pieces.

I guess I just don't get what the big deal is, there's plenty to talk about in K-StateO world, but that scoreboard isn't one of them.

I am sure they wanted at least one scoreboard and probably the play clocks to be of the traditional LED variety because there's just less things that can go wrong with them.
