perhaps most disturbing was when he cited Vulture as some sort of success story re: giving a Senior a scholarship.

Given all the departures, and Brian being a 4 year walk on, you could squint and see a feel good spin.

Budke showing up from Hutch or wherever to fill out a practice squad, then actually playing minutes (and being bad) and then getting a scholarship after one year?  It is embarrassing and should not be talked about. 

Even leaving aside the merits of awarding Budke the scholarship, The fact that we missed on guys in recruiting is bad enough, but the way oscar talks about it is somehow worse and makes clear that Budke is really getting this because we don't have anyone worth giving it to so "welp, here ya go!"
