From Crabtree at KC Catbackers event:

Class overall is very typical of LHC Bill Snyder class. Very OL heavy and they will push to add DB’s and Safety’s late. I tried to write down a few high points. He was very complimentary of the class as whole and especially mentioned Anthony Payne, Josh Rivas, Wyatt Hubert and Bernard Goodwater.


Elijah Walker -

After decommitting from the Cats a week ago most thought He GONE! Crabtree suggest maybe not so fast. Since Walker received the TCU offer he has went stone cold silent. He suggested that DJamer Reed is working overtime to try and get him to Manhattan. We will see.


Chabastin Taylor-

While he has stated he is 110% committed to Kstate he has recently been to Baylor for a visit. He even labeled “Baylor as dream offer.” Rivals shows he has an offer so we will see how it shakes out.


Daniel Green-

Recently visited Kstate and all went well. He thinks it will come down to KSU and Oregon State. He mentioned it could be tough to beat out OSU since he is from Oregon and will visit this weekend. Mentioned this might the highest ranked LB to be close to becoming a Wildcat since Arthur Brown. Made it very clear he is not Arthur Brown “He was freak”.

EDIT: @GPCwallace Tweeted late last night that Green will visit Ole Miss this weekend. It will be a show down between the Rebels and the Cats.


Danny Walker-

The LB and recent K-state commit he believes is an Elijah Lee replacement. Thinks he may need to redshirt though. Additionally added that the scouts have looked at his film and were very very impressed.


Sam Wheeler-

The 6-4 200lb running QB gobbles up yards when he takes off. Not yet quite a polished passer. He stated that the plan for him is not yet determined maybe linebacker but some real upside.


Evan Fields-

Loves loves attention and loves himself. In the past Kstate does not do well with these type of kids. No lean either way on where he might be headed. Did say if we see DB offers coming out late this week that could be an indicator on which way Fields is going.


Possible Replacement if unable to land Fields-

Avery Showell- GT commit but Andre Coleman working hard to flip.

Watched Sammy Wheeler's senior Hudl highlights. I have a changed in opinion on him. He could definitely be a solid cats quarterback. He is basically already running a version of our offense, solid decision making in regards to keeping it himself, average arm, above average speed and field vision. I like him.
