thought about it a little more and looked at johnson's stats again.  you're probably right.  it would be better to keep him.  if you haven't already found anyone better among the other 6 or 7 or however many it is recruits, you're probably not going to with one more scholarship.
I think it going to end up being a 8 man class. Two of the open scholarships need to go to good big 12 players. 3 out of the 4 (minus cobb) of the current commits need to pan out in the long run. Not many recruiting class have that kind of success rate.

I think Nigel is the key to keeping the remaining roster together. IMO, Wes has too much upside to risk by putting his faith into guards he hasn't even met yet. Right now, oscar should be figuring out how paypal works to keep these remaining few around- they're not all stars but they have experience. In his system that is invaluable. If we see more transfers** I'll actually be quite confident in saying oscar will be fired at the end of next season. He should have been let go yesterday.

**I don't think we'll see any transfer announcements until semester is up. For the sophomores especially- if they're smart they know they need these credits and they need to finish the semester. That way if their new home doesn't work, they can graduate after seeing the court for a year and have immediate eligibility at a third institution as graduate transfers.

Not always the worst thing. Sometimes a year of just focusing on recruiting is a good way to jumpstart the system.

Re: Transfer rumors

If only things were that easy. Have I texted Nigel?? Yes. I just haven't heard back from him. He wasn't always the easiest to track down after he committed, either. I'm just waiting to hear something. Perhaps this is a no news is good news kind of thing.

Real question; does the gpc staff get a list of all the players cell numbers at the start of the year or how does that work?

Nigel was outside in the sun yesterday which means he probably isn't transferring

I've paid them over $1,000 in my lifetime. That makes me feel bad.

Took a tour of the basketball practice facility today Nigels name plate was nowhere to be found in the locker room, however Edwards is still above his locker.  Even better news Evan Beucler's is still there!!!
