ND should have shot earlier on the possession before. college coaches can't comprehend a 2 for 1.

I don't understand why they don't see the value in this.  The "quick" shot is usually a decent look at a 3.

"Usually" has no value in this case where they're playing the best defense in college basketball. I'm stunned that no one is speaking up for Brey's decision here. Points are certainly more important than getting two shots there. It's not like getting a second possession is guaranteed, I'd assume that Kentucky is also a good oboarding team. Doing whatever the best thing is to get points is the right play in a tie game with under a minute left, sheesh. They got to that point by valuing possessions it would be amazingly stupid to just chuck it up at that point, ultimate panic move.

I guess if they are the greatest defense of all time, it doesn't matter when you shoot the ball in the shot clock, however i'd rather have 2 chances than one.

They weren't trying to get the best shot, they were trying to get a shot as late as possible. They couldn't limit Kentucky's possessions at that point (unless they got a offensive rebound. And they absolutely chucked up a desperation shot on that possession, while starting to try for a shot 15-20 seconds earlier could have gotten them at least as good a look, but also given them time for another 15 second possession.

Another disadvantage to holding it till the end of the shot clock is that Kentucky KNOWS you have to shoot or turn it over. They don't have that luxury if you are trying to get your shot with 15-20 on the shot clock.

They just said that Wisc vs. UK will be the third Final 4 rematch in history. They have to mean in consecutive years, right?

What just happened I'm this Michigan State/Louisville game is lesson 1 in the "you can't call that this late in the game" bullshit, and why it's dumb. Louisville committee a clear flagrant 1 and the officials didn't have the courage to call it appropriately and Michigan State got screwed because of it.

Anthony Davis.  He led that UK team in scoring, rebounds, blocks and steals.  Okafor has him on offensive post moves and that's about it.

I would take Davis on my team over Okafor and my team would cram its balls down the throat of any Okafor teams that were assembled.  Davis is better at basketball and was as a freshman.  0kafor is a nice fat-assed, slow-footed post player for people who swing that way.  Not to my taste.

davis was a good college player.  that's about it.
okafor is a different level type of player that obviously beat the living crap out of you at least twice a week when you were in high school, because that's obvious.
anyway, buy some band aids and heal the eff up.  maybe some Neosporin. wtf.

skipper, what the hell is wrong with you?  i'm guessing there was a lot of lead paint in the house you grew up in.

Who will check okafor for kentucky?  Towns has problems with fouling and I don't think Cauley can go one on one with him.  Probably just rotate their 6 bigs on him to wear him down.

ya Duke is going to suffer the same fate as ND did, and as most teams have, against UK and that's struggle with depth.  duke does have plumlee that they can put on towns but K rarely plays he and JO together.
i'm interested to see what K does with jefferson and winslow.  my guess is that duke will play a close game but just get worn down in the end.  hope i am wrong though!
