the kso thread is unhinged. They're actively talking themselves into why Tang is an awful person.

yeah, I dipped out, had enough of trying to reason with unreasonable and some clearly bigoted people.

52
I don't believe the Arkansas stuff.  That sounds super gross to me.

Right? Like why

They have more of every conceivable measurable advantage to make a job easier than we do, literally every single one, and not by a little either.

This super league model makes the most sense to save the sport, which is exactly why it won't happen. They also should not call it a super league, it's absolutely not that.

you know nothing like this is ever going to happen when schools won't even schedule meetings to talk casually about it out of fear of upsetting the mickey mouse company.

How do people charged with ensuring the best interest of student athletes even say that out loud without a moment self-reflection?  one wonders.

also, imagine the futures bets you could place on who is going to drop out of the g5 conference each season and who is going to rise.   Whole other lane of bets to make.

First, how is the Mouse going to find out about a few emails and phone calls? Second, isn't it their best interest to consolidate and drop the dead weight? Talking about the Vanderbilts and Wake Forrests of the world, etc. ...

This particular model does not drop any existing dead weight, that's why they should stop calling it a super league.

also a list of non-liberal cities would be helpful (iirc the only 1M+ population metros to vote for trump in 2016 were OKC and jacksonville FL)

Shawnee

That is not a city with at our e over a million people.

Hopefully the issues he had that made UM not let him play away games don't put him on Dick's one strike and you are out list......
Michigan Twitter making a lot of jokes about him transferring to a school where he'll be abele to qualify academically, so maybe it's that?

Sent from my SM-S918U using Tapatalk

it is that, but no one can figure out what kind of academic issue he had that didn't let him play in road games. A lot of weird crap went on around that program this year.

What, do you really think he's wearing a KANSAS shirt? lol.

It was a joke spracne, goodness man.

Goodbye burned down Denny's; hello Nashville Hot Chicken
They aren't leaving the KC Metro. I bet they end up downtown anyway but they pay for it themselves. If not that they'll let Laura Kelly give them a fistful of cash.

Guys, I don't mind Kim Mulkey, in fact I used to like her, a lot.
not necessarily directed at you but more of a general statement regarding a very polarizing person.

the thing about coach mulkey is that you can respect everything that she has accomplished in her life without necessarily thinking that you like her (even though, if given time with her, i think most people would find her to be very endearing.  she obviously draws people to her in her leadership role).  this is a woman with an incredible amount of personal and team based success in damn near everything that she has done dating back to her four straight high school state championships and 4.0 grade point average that helped lead her to being her class’s valedictorian.

anyway, I think she makes a lot of people uncomfortable and it’s easier to dismiss her as someone we don’t like instead of looking at all of the things that she does right.

her success speaks volumes.

well said

What’s the point of one legged tights? Is it just fashion?

Kinda form and fashion. She started wearing it last year after she had surgery on her leg the year before. She has a rod in her leg and the surgery left a scar she wanted to cover up.

That crap color and what little we see of those block letters are looking real sus, TBT.

Wouldnt Lee likely make considerably more money with much less competition if she stays?

A couple of things here. First, her choice wasn't between staying and going to the wnba. Her choice was between going into her career as a counselor full time, or playing one more year while continuing to work, part time. Second, if the choice was between the wnba and coming back to play and collect some nil, she likely would have made more in the wnba, even with the tiny salary of $72,000 that she would have gotten. Endorsement deals aren't specific to college athletes and she wasn't just handed 6 or 7 figures, for nothing, like some college athletes are.
Ok, that makes more sense. I’ll take your word on the finances part. I just read a couple mocks that projected her around pick #20, and one speculated she’d likely start off from the bench as a role player. Said she needs to work on more mid-range shooting and ability to run the floor?? I live in an area that has a wnba team and I dont recall seeing players in ads or print. It’s almost nonexistent, but I’m admittedly not looking for it either. That lead me to guess a role player probably wouldnt make much as a wnba spokesperson. I hope Im mistaken.

I think she was a second round prospect before the injuries, she's pretty limited now, on both ends of the court. If she does come back, this will be the first off season, in a couple of years, that she can focus on fitness and conditioning instead of rest and rehab.

Yeah they're going to make that kid a legend and some of the same people will be calling Angel Reese a thug tomorrow night.

rumblings that terms have been agreed upon for his return

I really hope so. If he can add about 10-15 pounds of muscle and play consistantly with that aggressive style he's capable of, he can be great.

Absolutely not going to happen, he isn't 19 years old. He doesn't need that anyway.

meh, players in all sports don't think about that at all and we as fans don't either. Ques Glover has had more health issues than Ayoka has. I wouldn't say no one is calling for him to hang it up for his long term health, but it certainly isn't as prevalent.

Their defense is crazy assy at home.

Before his heart "illness" I would have said the same. I just don't think he's the same dude anymore.

He landed the No. 1 transfer prospect after that, though. And I think he'll come back next year.

One might argue that younger Bill would have recognized that Knecht was the better player and he would have tried to get him instead of throwing the entire bag at one player who was presumed to be the best player. I wonder if portal season happening while he was essentially in recovery basically eliminated evaluation of the players and he saw what the nerds ranked #1 and just said, okay let's get him.
