Saw Black Panther on opening night, after a lot of thought. I'm ready to go public with my review.

This movie didn't leave me in awe or unsatisfied is was pretty meh. If you guys don't like how jokes have gotten corny in Star Wars then maybe sit this one out. I enjoyed the end credit scene as it was a buildup towards Infinity War.

For all of the outlets that think that this movie is very political for its all African American cast, it isn't. Wakanda is country that has been hidden for centuries and hasn't been tainted by the outside world. It is also still tribal in a sense. So it makes sense to have an all African American cast.

The things I enjoyed about the movie were Micheal B. Jordan's character and the attention to detail. By attention to detail, I mean the references to the comic and the other heros in the marvel universe. Ultimately this movie was a stepping stone towards infinity War and you don't really need to see before infinty war but hey Disney could totally use your money. Also don't believe the people that say it is the best super hero movie ever, it's good but not the best. It's a top 10 marvel movie right now.

I thought BP was great, one of the best marvel movies. A few script and plot flaws. otherwise pretty good to great (scale adjusted for genre)

the jokes were great and Kansas gets a name drop

6/7

Admittedly, I haven't seen the movie yet but I don't think the main cast of Black Panther is mostly African American.

As an optimist I think she was alive

iirc when she landed on the beach, her legs were all wobbly due to having been in space for an extended amount of time. seems like a weird detail to include if the filmmakers were trying to hint that she was dead. will probably watch again, i really enjoyed that one.

I think Remember Me was the most emotional theater experience I've ever had but I've cried at a lot of movies so that may be incorrect.

Interstellar was pretty emotional for me, in that same genre.

Schindler’s List is kinda hard to top though.  Holy crap that theater experience was very disturbing for me.

i welled up during gravity.

btw she 100% lived.  she was "reborn" when she came out of the water.  this was, of course, obvious, but i guess i shouldn't expect you cretins to pick up on little things i like to call "motifs."  smdh

A whole Jacob's Ladder situation.  She died almost immediately in the movie.
