why not a mac?

I don't know how to use them and am worried none of the stuff I have purchased (pirated) for my pc will work on it.  macs look elite though.  I think that's why I like the ENVY so much.

Get a wide screen MacBook Pro.  Trust me on this.

A 1366x768 resolution on a 15" laptop would absolutely kill me. Your Evo is over half that.

But they are overpriced and can't do anything a PC can do, so why bother

to look cool at the airport? :dunno:

Seriously, they look way better than any windows lappy.

Saul, do research on Sonys that are available to purchase at Best Buy so that if you tell me my current one is FUBAR, I can go buy a new one real quick and you can set it up.  T-Y, Trim

Do not ignore. The screen is the thing you are most apt to regret buying.

is there any reason to have a blue ray player if I don't ever watch movies?  will that be utilized for anything else within the next 3 years?

People will mock you for not having a blu ray player in your laptop.  If you can handle that I think you'd be ok without it.  I don't see software being produced on blu-ray in the next 3 years.
