I remember when they all started doing the hand motions back to the dugout and the team wasn't like a playoff team yet BITB would just rant against it. That's how I knew it was a good thing.

FWIW, I give a pass on Esky because there is no other viable option. That is not the case with Gordo. FTR, I do feel bad for Gordo, but this has become ridiculous.

Escobar has been pretty good since June 1, so that's not very reflective of him as a batter now.

Gordon has been awful all season and August is his worst month.

Escobar is .282 avg with a .305 OBP and .651 in August. He's been good enough to bat 9th and play a still good, not elite, but good shortstop. He really hasn't been as God awful as his stats lead you to think since May. Just the worst April/May ever. Escobar is fine.

Gordon should keep his money. He used to be good and he was able to get the Royals agree to that contract, so good for him. The Royals should stop treating their organization like some little league team and start playing their best players, though.
