as long as Jozy stays healthy he will still be a massive part of the 18 WC team, and just as MIR said, his back to goal linkup play is something no other forward gives the USMNT. Also, i don't think Wood is really versitile. He has more pace than Jozy, which was needed last night for the majority of the game, but i don't think he is some 5 tool striker.

MOTM - Cameron for me.  He was massive in disrupting their attacks.

i agree with this 100%

Obviously Altidore and Wood do completely different things, as no one argued they were interchangeable.   Wood was a much better fit for the attack in that game plan in my opinion.

We'll see how Jozy goes in better reffed games.  He seemed to get frustrated really quickly when the ref called on foul on him to push off a molesting Mexican defender.  It would be amazing if he stays healthy as he is a great option for some game plans.

I'm curious if we're going to see a Bradley renaissance or if this was a one game thing.

I can't seem to recall him having a bad giveaway in the midfield for the first time in forever...  so that?  maybe?

So Jesse Gonzalez is actually filing paperwork to switch to god's team from the shitty federation south of the US.

Wasn't sure if this belong in TBD Euro thread if it includes national teams, but it's great watching Germany make Mexico look like a jv squad.  eff Mexico.

Dom is going to come through this Gold Cup and be the go to 4th striker for the foreseeable future.

I was really worried with the first couple attempts (kinda reminded me of some of his early season finishing issues with SKC) but that half volley was pretty nice.  Hopefully it was just him pressing too much at the beginning.  It's great he is getting his shot.

So I watched this at the AOKC watch party which is the first time I've ever watched a USMNT in a bar setting so i didn't watch as close as I usually do, but all 4 defenders for the US were absolute garbage, and so was the midfield. Panama had far and away the best chances of the game, our midfield didn't create anything outside of Rowe's orgasm inducing assist to Dom. All in all I'm infuriated with that game.
