I think I've said this before, but in 93 when the Rockies came out I decided to make them my NL team and keep the Royals as my AL team. The Royals were in the beginning stages of sucking for a long time, so it was an easy decision to make. I even bought some Rockies gear and went to a couple games in Mile High, then Coors when it opened. I still did Royals stuff then, but I'd say the Rockies surpassed the Royals for 3-4 years, culminating in the Rockies' playoff appearance in 1995. Then it just became too difficult to really follow the Rockies (remember, internet was at its very beginning stages) and I went back full Royals in the late 90s even though we continued to be terrible. Now I barely follow the Rockies, but I will be cheer for the purple tonight.

Fav Rockies player _FAN? 90s had some great ones. Galaraga, Walker, Bichette, etc.

Bichette was my favorite. But I also really liked Walker, Galarraga, Castilla, and Young. Girardi was the catcher and Saberhagen pitched a bit for the Rocks in 95.

One other thing about the Rockies, I remember thinking in 1995 when they made the playoffs "man, the Rockies are only in their 3rd year of existance and made it while the Royals haven't made it in 10 years!"

If only I knew what was going to come (both the bad and the good).

Even by the time the Rockies made the WS in the 00s I pretty much quit following them and was Royals only.

I believe he was always growing his hair out to donate, not completely sure though.

Also, he's an OU Sooner, so I guess TSC.

I still have an open, upright batting stance when I play softball like the Big Cat. Been rocking it for 24 years now. Man when I still lived in Garden City, I loved the Rockies, didn't get them on TV when I moved to Manhattan and they were hardly on ESPN.
