Do what you want with the fence size. Hell, make a dumbass hill so ppl can get hurt if you want.

well that's a complete horseshit link because i just watched lorenzo cain hit a 302' home run to right at fenway

Some Wichita St player made a catch like that probably 10-12 years ago

Maybe the rules were made up after Fenway was built all the way back in 1912.

Quote
The specification on minimum park dimensions was put into place due to the stadium controversy surrounding the Brooklyn Dodgers' move to Los Angeles in 1958. The Dodgers played at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum while Dodger Stadium was being built, but the Coliseum was not designed to hold baseball games. The Coliseum's left-field fence was roughly 250 feet away from home plate and the club had to erect a 40-foot-high screen to protect against short home runs. The specification is not strictly enforced, however, so long as teams do not build parks that egregiously violate the rule. For example, Petco Park opened in 2004 and is officially 396 feet in center field, and Oriole Park at Camden Yards opened in 1992 and is 318 feet down the right-field line.

Amazing that baseball is the stat-geek sport when the same routine hit could be a single, double, hr, or caught ball solely depending on the park

Baseball is strange to me for a few reasons. One of them being how mediocre in any other team sport the good w/l percentages are. Getting just 28 hits in 100 abs is good.

It's probably the toughest sport out there when it comes to mastering skill sets. Hitting a 90 mph fastball is very hard. Now add all the other junk they throw and it makes you want to lose your mind.

KU football is a sleeping giant and always has been - beems

If LHC Bill Snyder had been hired at KU years ago, we'd have a national championship in football and a couple more BCS bowls. - beems

Why is it in baseball a manager can go .500 and be considered good?

The Joey Bats flip in the 2015 ALDS may be my favorite moment in baseball history even though I hate them? That series was incredible.

Nothing wrong with loving that moment.  It was the greatest bat flip in the history of bat flips and is what all future bat flips will be measured against.  It was totally appropriate for the situation too.  I have proclaimed my love for Joey Bats multiple times on this blog.
