Lick just can never bring himself to discuss this administration and what's happening right now with this administration. It's always some sort of deflection back to: MAGA, Don Trump, Republicans.

It's sad and pathetic, but expected

BTW Lick, your boy committed the Federal Government and thus his administration to getting the bridge fixed and the Federal government (and apparently not insurance companies) paying the whole tab.

California: Natural disasters, regulatory policy, inflation (the last two classified with the soft landing of "other factors")

Florida: Exclusively natural disasters

Life in one of our #blueanon generational stranglehold states . . . which across every spectrum of business is controlled by large to mega corps.  While piling on regulation and costs that smaller businesses cannot manage or absorb without numerous difficulties.

In March, State Farm General Insurance Company announced plans to non-renew about 72,000 policies in California, impacting property insurance and commercial apartment policies.

Last year, the company also announced it would stop accepting new insurance applications for all business and personal property in California.

Since then, companies like Allstate, Farmers Insurance, and The Hartford insurance have announced similar moves.

this is a long discussion that has yet to yield an example of republican leadership in terms of infastructure

Ohhhhh it's comin' real soon, you'll see. Just like the crimes that sleepy Brandon is going to be impeached for. You'll all see soon enough, stay tuned!

BAC we already know that you support The Grifters Biden all the way.

Imagine being part of a party that tried to impeach a President twice over a completely whack-a-doo insane conspiracy theory on one, and because they were mad he was asking questions about the Ukrainian grift that your boy and his family were in on. Meanwhile your boy and his family was doing business with the: Chinese, Vietnamese, Romanians, Russian, Ukranians and a number of other former Eastern Bloc countries and getting payments via the money laundering capital of the world, and through banks notorious for money laundering.

But that doesn't have anything to do with the topic I brought up earlier today.

this is a long discussion that has yet to yield an example of republican leadership in terms of infastructure

So completely avoiding the topic that I brought up as expected. Knowing full well that there's been two major infrastructure bills in play in the last decade, while completely avoiding the legislative climate of today and completely avoiding the fact that I have clearly stated why Pubs haven't "lead" as you keep asking, because Pubs at least publicly are against piling spending on top of spending.

All in the circular world of Lick when he's  :curse: :curse: and   and doesn't want to talk about specific issues under THIS administration.

We will likely have the largest budget deficit in our history this year, and we increase our national debt by $1 trillion every 130 days.  Paying the interest alone now costs us a trillion dollars a year I believe.

6
so the COVID issue of 2020 prevented the 2017 congress from governing?

So there were only reps from one party in that Congress? Interesting if true.

Weren't we already in the midst of an ongoing infrastructure bill at that time? (Yes, yes we were Dax, and it ran through . . . 2020)

Why do you always avoid the fact that Dems want these things stacked on all the other spending? Not in place of some of the other spending.

But again, I don't have the slightest idea what this has to do with the topic I brought up earlier today, but lick and the Avoido/Deflectocons of gE just can't help themselves.

7
The European insta tapout just can't help himself. It's just

8
Didn't something kind of big happen not long after that?

Can you imagine trying to run a national infrastructure program with a supply chain in complete disarray?  The cost overruns would have been insurmountable.

Thank you Flying Spaghetti Monster!!

The primary Republican push against the infrastructure bill last time was because as usual, it was just spending piled on top of spending. Not cutting anything to pay for the bill . . . this is not hard to understand, but apparently you never will.

Also,    at Dems not putting up the fight of all fights against anything that would have proven to be a net win or positive for Trump.

9
Also Lick, it's just laughable that you demand that that Pubs support every bill knowing full well those bills are stuffed with spending line items that have virtually nothing to do with the crux of the bill itself.

Why doesn't your movement help rekindle the line item veto discussion that our country needs . . .

i didn't ask what bills they support

I asked how Pubs have led the effort to support infrastructure

any bill will do

I've already told you why and I am just going to play along while you completely and totally avoid the discussion that I started earlier because you're   and  :curse: :curse:

10
didn't the "builder president" Trump put forth a 1 Trillion Dollar Infrastructure Plan when Pubs controlled the House and Senate?

“We will build gleaming new roads, bridges, highways, railways, and waterways all across our land. And we
will do it with American heart, and American hands, and American grit.” – President Donald J. Trump

What does that have to do with this administration and the current situation with the bridge?

Nothing . . . you're in total avoidocon/deflectocon mode as always.

You just can't help yourself and it's

Lick, the $1 trillion dollar infrastructure bill of 2021 that your boy Pedo Pete signed was named: The Bipartisan Infrastructure Bill

So I don't know exactly what you're driving at here, but it seems pretty stupid (as usual).

I also do NOT know what this has to do with the feeble pace that the current administration will move in getting that bridge rebuilt.

. . . well, I do know, nothing, what your talking about has nothing to do with the current situation.

that is not a republican bill and only 19 pubs in total voted for it

so if you can point me to any example of pub leadership on infrastructure i would appreciate it

Pubs push for reducing funding on pet programs that impact a few to pay for larger programs like infrastructure and they know that will always be DOA in a Congress where at least one house is controlled by #blueanon and the Oval Office is controlled by an mentally incapacitated #blueanon president (who as we're starting to find out is under the heavy influence of a former POTUS, a former SOS and the hardest of the hardcore #blueanon you'll ever find in this world, including the former Meta exec/Wall street pedigreed Chief of Staff Obama retread)

The price of coal is up 2.6% YTD and we are nearly a month in to the supply disruption so I guess we can say it doesn't look like a big deal yet.

https://markets.businessinsider.com/commodities/coal-price

Again, good for the countries that will need the coal (or be forced to buy more energy from Vlad . . . which they still do anyway) and also good for those other countries and non US companies that they're making more money on coal while U.S. coal exporters (again, counting on International markets for long term viability and stability) have a harder time shipping theirs out.

14
Okay, well good for the rest of the world coal exporters and bad for our coal exporters (who are counting on the increase in exports to allow them to operate and you know, employee people in jobs and such) I suppose.  How positively #blueanon on many many levels.

15
It's enough to make a sports infrastructure nerd cry  :bawl:

Years upon years of opportunity to do this project at 1/3 the price.

Then tearing down an historic structure to build a value engineered MLS'ified stadium that is not in keeping architecturally with anything on their campus . . . it's just a tragedy.   :frown:

I'm also hearing rumblings that the general rake of the stands will be more fitting for futbol viewership and not American Football viewership. Apparently Cliff wants to see that Lawrentucky hosts some WC practices.

16
can you point me to the republican infrastructure bills that would have solved this?

infrastructure has gone woke, so don't hold your breath

As has been documented on this blog, one reason why CHIP manufacturers are about ready to tell the policy wonks that you guys love to go eff themselves.

  you mean which Republican infrastructure bill that would have taken money from #blueanon pet domestic programs and moved it to infrastructure?  I can't think of any.

As the second-largest exporting hub for coal in the United States, accounting for nearly one-third (28 percent) of total exports in 2023, the Port of Baltimore has helped meet that demand.

so at absolute worst 2% of global supply slack has to be picked up by the global market (including the US) and most of what we export doesn't go to Europe anyway.

I guess, I feel like we may have bigger things to worry about.

I didn't post more from that article because #blueanongE gets extremely triggered and ragey when I do that . . . but always glad to see that you've avoided the "been on the rise" component of international exports of U.S. coal.  While also avoiding nearly a third of all U.S. coal exports departing from that port, and avoiding the impact on domestic coal supply (and I know you guys hate hate hate coal and the power it provides) while also avoiding the impact on special coal needed to power our dwindling domestically controlled steel mills.

20
We'll funnel billions to pet social construct programs completely eschewingthe  infrastructure needs of the masses, then lose our got damn minds when we don't get support for piling on with special infrastructure bills . . . #blueanon political leadership

Opinion piece trigger warning for #blueanongE

#neocongE should be absolutely enraged and even moreso at the fact that this going to take an   long time for an alleged industrialized nation, and knowing that the majority if not all of the heavy lift crane barge capacity the US once had is in mothballs or rusting away and that the majority of it exists in places like . . . China.

https://realclearwire.com/articles/2024/04/18/national_security_implications_of_baltimore_bridge_catastrophe_1025844.html

International demand for American coal has been on the rise in the past few years due to Europe’s tightening energy supply, low natural gas reservoirs, and conflict in the region as many countries like Ukraine turned elsewhere to get their energy commodities. As the second-largest exporting hub for coal in the United States, accounting for nearly one-third (28 percent) of total exports in 2023, the Port of Baltimore has helped meet that demand.

While most of the coal exported from the Port of Baltimore was historically destined for locations outside of Europe, it has increasingly been finding its way to countries on the continent dealing with rising Russian aggression, providing them an alternative to forced reliance on Russian energy supplies. But with the port’s unspecified closure and reopening timelines, American allies around the world may be forced to turn back to Vladimir Putin and his cronies. This will give Russia undue power, in Europe in particular, which has historically relied heavily on Russian imports of coal, oil, and natural gas.
