Kansas State Football / Next Season

I still think we are going to go 8-4 this year, but I'm already looking ahead to 2016-2017. Here's who we have for next season:
QB - Hubener, Delton, Ertz, Banks & Thompson
RB - Silmon, Jones, Warmack, Barnes
FB - Gronk & Dimel
WR - Heath, Burton, Zuber, Reuter ???
TE - Small & Valentine
C - Risner
LT - Fitzner???
RT - ???
LG - ???
RG - Ash???
We will be stacked at RB and have some decent options at QB. Our O-Line is going to be decimated though. Risner will be a nice centerpiece and we have a couple talented true freshman but if we aren't targeting at least 2 JUCO lineman we're not going to be able to move the ball. Once again we will be short handed at receiver. We need a big possession receiver. I hope we are targeting a JUCO there.
Defense
DT - Geary!, Honeybear!, Hood, Siewart
DE - Willis! Wood ???
LB - Lee!, Davis, Sizelove, Walker, Sullivan and Moore
NB - Starks ???
Safety - Prewett, Newlan, Adams
CB - Shelley! Mack, Jackson, Moore
The defense should be solid all around with the LBs DEs being the strength (pass rush!?). The NB and Safety position should also be a huge plus. Starks has been decent and Prewett is coming along. Newlan looked fast last night! We really don't need any JUCOs but another solid tackle and CB would be nice. No one will be able to run up the middle on us with Geary and the Honeybear clogging up the holes. Hopefully the speed we finally have at LB and DE position will be able to contain the QB run game on scrambles.
I don't know how the Big 12 will look but our schedule is brutal next season. TCU will be down but UT is on the rise. Will be an interesting season, but I think how successful we are will ultimately come down to the O-line and who we have at QB. Thoughts?

I wish we were playing them tonight. I mean, Auburn is a nice little team and all, but seriously hardly anyone even notices them. I watched ESPN College Gameday and a bunch of other college football related shows on the ESPN this week and there was nary a peep about Alabama's little brother. Did you guys know they played in the MNC 2 times in the last 5 years?! I had no idea. 
Ah well, I suppose we have OU and Baylor to gain national respect since no will give a crap how badly we lay the wood on the team that wishes they were Alabama. Go Cats. Woohoo I guess?

I understand you're going to say we suck and everything. You might actually be right, and I'm not going to say anything about that...I, however, am going to choose to believe that the team was looking ahead to Auburn and that Jake was playing tight due to being back in Iowa. I completely understand where you are coming from and you might even be right, but I like having a positive outlook and will continue to have one until the crap hits the fan....EMAW!!!!

I think Sams has a huge upside and is clearly the starter going forward. Will he become good enough to take this team to the level of last year, or are 6-6 seasons the most we have to look forward to from here on out. I saw some promise, but I really don't know what to think at this point.

They are trying to squeeze their fat faces into the top 16 and screw us. If they get into the top 16 they will get an automatic bid since they will be ranked ahead of Louisville. They will then get into the Fiesta and push Oregon or Oklahoma out of the BCS. Eff those guys.

Why is the MNC no longer airing on one of the four big network television stations? Every other major championship is aired on one of the four big networks but the MNC is now on ESPN. I don't understand this. Will it not even get as many viewers as standard nwtwork television shows?

I keep reading about how Texas has looked "very impressive" since losing to Oklahoma. WTF?? I'm pretty sure I watched them barely win a shootout against Baylor (2nd worst B12 team) score a last second TD to beat KU (worst B12 team) knock off a ok but reeling TTU team and then beat ISU (the 3rd worst B12 team) that has lost four of its last five by 26. They have been anything but impressive. It seems to me like they have just finished playing the bottom half of the B12 and barely escaped with wins. We will absolutely destroy these losery puds!

Seemed pretty effing bad. Too many QB runs on offense and too soft of coverage on D. The players really bailed the coaches out with some great plays.
