I've been wanting to do this for a while, but fear the pressure I'll have when I have proof that I descended from famous people/royalty.
I once blew clove smoke in a guy's face that cut in front of me in the line to KJ's.

We're all spawn from Adam and Eve.  Look that up.
Fifteen minutes later, when the Kansas locker room opened its doors to the media, the Jayhawks were still crying. Literally, bawling. All of them. I've never seen anything like it, and I've seen devastated college locker rooms -- after losses in the Final Four, the national championship game -- ever

Yeah, I knew about it before but never really used it.  Just wasted half a day working on the ole family tree.
Where did you get that overnight bag?

it's a free 2 week trial.

you put in all the crap you know about your family and then it finds crap from records and stuff that it has and you find all your ancestors.

If it can be believed (I have my doubts), my wife has lineage back through William the Conqueror and Charlemagne among others, with a line that can allegedly be traced BC.

We've only been able to find back to about the 16th Century for my side.

That's basically the difference between having a lot of English and French ancestry vs a pretty much entirely Germanic ancestry.

If you want a free ancestry site, try Rootsweb.  Its not as extensive as Ancestry, but there's a good chunk of info there for those who have someone who has submitted info.  Tip: Don't search for anyone living.  Try a dead grandparent/great-grandparent.
