bomb bar, another version of shot stop, little cheaper.

Also Thursday night 50 cent deals should be illegal, theay are so amazing.

Do any of you all remember the bar called Berlin? For the bubble gummers, it was where Gumbys was/is (not sure if Gumbys is still there or not) located. Rumors it was a gay bar, I never saw any of that crap in there, but the music was outstanding.

Old(er) people, I've always heard of Rusty's glory days, what the hell happened? Did the G.I.'s slowly take over or new ownership/what? Might has well be called Bushwackers East.

people talk about the old Kites like it was some cool place.  it sucked.  the bathrooms were basically just a big room of piss.

'clams recently started referring to his home as "KJ's" as a tribute to the former Rusty's spin-off.

I was only there for KJ's last year of business.  It was the only place that would let us in and serve us.  I was a ranch kid from SW KS so it was shocking to me.

Actual picture I took of me at KJ's:

Always the rumor I had heard too.  311 played there once while I was at KSU if I remember correctly.

Do any of you tards actually believe Manhattan, KS has a large enough gay bar going population to require a place all to itself?  My guess is one or two gay guys went there from time to time and a bunch of hicks got scared.

They used to have a gay night at PJ's until they tore it down last year. I guess there's a gay night or something of the sort at The Loft now. FWIW

Porters Thursday Tacos for 50 cents.  :horrorsurprise: Amazing. Wells 50 cents @ kites. They had dollar bottles at that zar bar but it really is an awful bar.

Kite's was a dump but everything in Aggieville was a shithole so we didn't know any better. Lucky's was the first bar that was actually nice, they raised the bar.

All of the above.  Absolute horrible bar.

Can't believe some people still go there to eat.  :barf:

Rusty sold it to one of his old managers, Pete Anderson, I believe.

It has not been the same since then.  It's obvious that their revenues are going down simply by the fact that they now charge for jalapenos on nachos.  Who the heck does that??  Customer service, particularly in the outlying bars - not the main part, is way down.

Rusty's is no longer the place to go on game day.

FYI... Rusty owns Kites and the customer service in there is much like it used to be at Chance.

Does Rusty own Mr. K's as well?  Did some  there the other night. Limited menu but pretty good.

I did this a few years ago. It was a lot of fun. You will get full so try to hit up the best bars first.

Best:
Rock-a-Belly Deli
Coco Bolo's
Auntie Mae's

Worst:
Rusty's
Gumby's
Kite's

BWW was also pretty good, but they put their blazing sauce in the chili, so it was really hot.

I miss Joes Tap Room.  Now there's a place you could go and rub elbows w/ MHK's finest.

yeah i think so....I was on the fence about this, but they said there will be a "cool down" at cold stone. This better mean I get some damn ice cream. If so, it would be worth it.

Rusty's was the place to be from 94-98.  At least it seemed to be.

bombers/club carrington/ blazing inferno / parking lot was the place to be for freshmen....

all the riley rats stayed at silverados......
