Seems like a lot of 80's movies were really good.  Seems like RD is confirming this.

Watched "Wind River" and "The Limehouse Golem" this weekend.

Wind River is by the same director who did Sicario and Hell or High Water. . .and I am in love with his work. Wind River is no different. Beautifully shot and showing off Jeremy Renner's stellar acting chops.

The Limehouse Golem was a very enjoyable movie. If you like old time England murder mysteries this one is superb. Mrs. YD and I called the ending before we got there, but it was definitely still enjoyably put together.

My apologies, when Mrs. YD and I were trying to pick a movie to watch this weekend I clicked on his bio on Rotten Tomatoes and when it showed credits for both movies I assumed he was director, apparently he was the screenwriter for both movies.

My apologies. Wind River is still a great movie that he wrote and directed. So if you like how those other two movies were written, good chance you'll like this one too.

Gf and I just got our MoviePass cards yesterday. Anyone have one? Pretty excited. $9.99 a month and you can see one movie a day every day of the month.

haven't received my card yet, but yeah, I figured I can at least make time for 1 movie a month and it's a money saver...

They still have to pay theatre companies for every ticket so not sure how long this will last. AMC is actively trying to opt out so they won't be obligated to accept the passes.

It's on HBO now and it's just a fantastic movie.

It was very good. But apparently this new movie only covers a small portion of the story from the original (and book). I never saw/read the original.
