Blade Runner (original 1982 version w/ studio-forced voiceovers and lame happy ending) - idk guys i want to love it but it didn't really do it for me. visuals and mood and tone were all great, but the dialogue is meh, plot is extremely simple for a 2 hr movie, and then rutger hauer started acting like a wolf, and also the genius billionaire guy was v unbelievable. too terry gilliam-y to be great for this cats fan. 4/7*

Rented Free Fire and King Arthur: Legend of the Sword this weekend.

Free Fire was a blast of a movie. Mrs. Yard Dog didn't love it because it was "Just people shooting each other" I highly recommend it as a fun little shoot em up. Not exactly a must see, but if you have the time you won't regret it.

I loved the daylights out of the King Arther movie. It is an extremely enjoyable movie and if you like Guy Ritchie's directing style you'll find this to be a fun ride as well. It surprises me that this movie was a flop at the box office. Its RT critic score is 28% but the audience score is 72%. From what I can tell the critics didn't like the modern stylings on a classic tale. I highly recommend this one if you like action movies and sword fighting.

A monster calls - what a strange movie, a bit slow at times but also heavy on inebriation pleasing visuals, much darker than I had assumed, 4/7 but like a really interesting 4

Kicking and screaming

I watched this movie a bunch in college and loved it. Have not seen it in twenty years but just watched. Hot damn what an enjoyable time. It's is everything (including a heavily featured Parker posey) that a 90s indie movie should be. What a treat. 7/7. So many good lines.

I like the part where Will Ferrell calls that kid "Fart Face Jones" or something similar to that.  I don't recall Parker Posey at all.

Also an enjoyable movie named kicking and screaming. The one I'm talking about has Kevin's sister Karen and Eric stoltz in it though and a hilarious line that comes right after someone says they'd like to ace her deuce.

Kicking and screaming is so great let's watch another movie made by the same guy. Squid and the whale. I like kicking and screaming more but squid and whale is probably the better movie. Bernard is a top 100 movie character of all time.

A river runs through it. Another movie that I watched a ton in college. I mean holy crap I've seen this movie at least twenty times. Never noticed until tonight that Joseph Gordon leavitt was young Norman. What a fantastic rough ridin' movie. 7/7.
