I cherish LJS. I normally do not like fish, but I love LJS fish. Probably because it does not taste like fish. It's a delivery mechanism for batter.

I get 2 piece fish with hush puppies, and add a fish. Before eating the fish, i drench it in malt vinegar.

i had never eaten at ljs until a couple of years ago. my wife found out that i had never been and made us go through the drive through to get hush puppies. they were ok.

Went one day this summer after taking the kids to Kenwood Cove. Really only went because it had the A&W attached. Wasn't bad.

if its a cheap white fish like tilapia or cod, i prefer to cook it myself. LJS isnt bad, just not where i go to eat fish.

Every time I eat at Long John Silvers it takes me a little bit longer to recover. I haven't been in about 2 years and I don't know if my body is ready for another trip yet. I also do the thing Pete does by drenching the fish with malt vinegar.

A side order of crumbs is essential for any LJS visit. Sometimes they charge you, sometimes they don't.

I'm pretty sure the stuff you get served in Kansas is the same level of freshness as a Long John Silvers located on the coast of Maine.

When smoking ribs, butts, etc. at my house, I will stop by LJS and get a couple of orders of hush puppies to eat with the BBQ.

Wait, people actually eat the half corncob at LJS? The only acceptable sides at that place are fries and slaw and hushpuppies.
