Wonder why kci has the largest number of transatlantic passengers per day with no transatlantic flights? Convenience!

I would guess geography is a big part of it too. Who's second in that category?

Indy.  Everybody bigger than KCI on this chart now has service since this tweet...geography isn't the challenge, the condition of our international gate is.

How can you look at that chart and not think it's geography

it's obvious we are on the cusp of earning an Atlantic flight on our own O&D traffic (not to mention what we would pull from the region if we got one).  Moving KC further east wouldn't suddenly get us service.  The current terminal just hinder us further in getting these flights.

Well I mean New Orleans and St. Louis and Cleveland had 20% more traffic and Nashville is a unique industry center. So yeah that's about what you would expect if traffic and geography were major factors.

Cool stats though. Just not sure the terminal is the make-or-break factor

Every large central USA metro that isn't a big 3 hub is on that list phil.
The only exception I can think of is Milwaukee but maybe they just drive to ORD?

Traffic is the obv factor.  Terminal isn't helping.

Nashville is a unique industry center?  Not sure I follow that.

I couldn't be happier with how well our city manages KCI and gives my IRL friends a great experience.  #KCSpirit
