I assume because rural people are people is why

This^

Also, pretty sure it's illegal in most decent sized cities (i know it is in Denver) to shoot off any firework that even leaves the ground, so city folk probably think most fireworks suck ass and are boring. So rural people might just like them more cause they're more awesomer for them?

I have never had much interest. Don't mind watching but just never had the itch to light 189 fuzes during the day to hear something pop.

Dodge City has a awful lot of terrible steak places. It's really weird.

Not steak, but my dad swears the best meal in Kansas is prime rib at one of the casinos in Dodge.

I stayed there for a week with a custom harvest crew. Met a little honey at the campground. I have pleasant memories of Dodge. Young honey later visited me at KSU. :)

Damn that was a long time ago.

I've had it. It's nothing special. It is very cheap though. I think it was $11 or something. For that price, it's pretty good.

Not the title, but in the PGA Thread:

Post: I am not sure why but I find myself rooting for Matsuyama.
Reply: He's a grinder, a humble guy. Easy to root for. Very Kstate-esk for a golfer.

I really have no idea what it means, but I find it rough ridin' hilarious.

After this whole time, while clearly the content of the gpc boards is still crap, one can't deny what a great job rivals/yahoo has done w/the functionality of them there and across the network.  Remember how horrible it was back pre-yahoo?  Made us look even more elite at computers than we were.

As far as message board operations of hardcore sports/recruiting sites goes, rivals really has everything going for it.

Am I the Dick

body of message:
Quote
In this scenario, my wife is mad at me because I refuse to go on a ski trip with my sister in law. The only reason I have bailed is because of an incident on the family vacation to Florida last year that I think she should have apologized for.

We had a two story condo we shared with my mother in law, father in law, other sister in law ( wife's twin) and husband, and this sister in law and her husband, (my wife's brother) shared with us. I fell asleep on a couch on the lower level after lunch and awoke to one of their foster kids going ape crap! When I fell asleep, there were two kids under 18 months on this floor asleep. Granted, the four of them had the flu bug ( not the actual flu) running through them. When i woke up, I calmly told them that I thought there were kids asleep in the back room. She went ape crap, ( this is an undersell, not an exaggeration, I may have been punched if I stayed) her husband was telling her that she needed to leave,(keep in mind there was a door to the deck two feet behind her). and was pretty adamant about it. She responded with, "that I was the one who needed to leave."

I calmly and quietly picked up my phone and headed upstairs to the other condo, where I see the two kids that I thought were sleeping downstairs. My other sister in law and her husband, (aka Douscher), ask me what is the matter, as I was a little shaken. I just told them not to go down there because she is crazy! Within minutes, my other brother in law came up and apologized to me and said his wife was out of line and totally crazy in the moment. I told him that he was not the one that needed to apologize

Am I being a total dick not wanting to go skiing with her if she can't see that she needs to apologize?
