I haven't been that underwhelmed with how much a movie was hyped up for greatness, to only walk out and be like "WTF did I just watch?" since Alexander.

Watched Polka King and Dunkirk over the weekend.  I thoroughly enjoyed Polka King -- which i believe is a netflix movie.  Dunkirk was fine.

My "A Quiet Place" Review:

Likes - Jim/Blunt combo, very little gore/gory type stuff and a lot of jump scares (<--my favorite type of scare), unique premise, SHORT (the movie was less than 90 minutes which I LOVE, why do movies have to be so long?  Just get to the point, some of us need to get to bed), musical score (as many of you know I love musical scores and this musical score definitely goes into the "good" column on my musical score spreadsheet)

Dislikes - **possible spoiler?** The ending (I know not everyone is like this but I like a nice neat ending ((preferably happy)) wrapped in a bow with no loose ends, so obviously this ending was not ideal for me personally)

Overall I really enjoyed this movie.  I give it  :horrorsurprise: :horrorsurprise: :horrorsurprise: 1/2 out of 4 horror surprises. It was different, which is great, so many movies now are exactly the same to me.  And I really don't get not liking non-office Jim.  I LOVE non-office Jim.  What a stud.

Non office Jim was pretty rad in that Benghazi movie.

Ant man 2 was ok.  I went to the bathroom when they introduced Walton Goggins character so I'm not sure why he was after the lab, but I'm assuming that was explained.

Mrs. Deputy Dawg said we need to go see "Tag" because her nephew knew the director for high school, and I thought, now I have to go see a crap movie.

It was great! Had about 10 slow minutes in the whole film.  Funny as hell, the stoner guy stole the show.

This was one of my favorite movies when I was a kid. I still like sharing it with people today.

Wrinkle in Time. Total garbage. Even my kids were pretty WTF about this one, and they’re generally pretty forgiving.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, K-State fans could have beheaded the entire KU team at midcourt, and K-State fans would be celebrating it this morning.  They are the ISIS of Big 12 fanbases.

This weekend I also watched some comedy called rough night that has horrible reviews. The cast is great (scar jo, illana glazer, Kate McKinnon, Zoe Kravitz (hottest woman on the planet)). I thought it was p good.  Some very good jokes, 5/7

Sorry to Bother You :star: :star: :star: :raccoon: :raccoon:

Enjoyed quite a bit but got a bit out there for me.  Will be interesting to see what Boots Riley does next as it was really good for a debut.  While most of the movie seems based in some reality, the satirical world seemed to be more a fantasyland, which lost me some.  Reminded me of Idiocracy in that regard.  Would love to get K-S-U's thoughts on this one.

The girl in this movie is my coworker’s daughter.  He confirmed that real-life Jim is also a stud.
