There are 17 teams interested or whatever, but here's what the market realistically values:
BYU has a decent ESPN contract
Houston, UConn, Cincy, and Temple are Group A members of the AAC, therefore, they are valued higher than all of the other AAC members. If two of them leave that conference, the media rights contract is voided. If one of them plus any other school leaves, the contract is voided. ESPN put enough value on those four that if any combination happens where one of them leaves, the whole contract is done.
So, you can take any MWC school, any CUSA or MAC school, or any other AAC school for that matter, and you can probably put them way down the list. Your 2-4 are coming from those five listed above. All of them are Tier 1 Carnegie schools, except BYU (Tier 2), and they are all ranked in the US News Top 200.
