A bunch of my fellow Blues fans are full BID after today. Honestly think they played it pretty well. I wish Backes was coming back but he got way to many years and Brouwer got overpaid (and at longer term than I'd want to give him also. I'm iffy on bringing back Perron, but this Blues team will be a lot different than the one he was on before and under $4 per for 2 years isn't a terrible contract. Allen/Hutton isn't as good as Allen/Elliott but Allen's extension is pretty reasonable if he keeps improving and Hutton is a solid backup.

The Blues didn't get better, but they're in better position to extend they're window than if they'd kept Backes and/or Brouwer. I'm pretty sure Shattenkirk will still be traded also, so I'm going to hold off on really making a declaration of my feelings about the offseason until that happens.

Also, as just a fan of hockey the last few days have been really entertaining. Hall for Larsson, Subban for Weber, and Stamkos re-signing when everyone thought he was gone made for a pretty great day, then the craziness off the 1st day of FA.
