So...this "nba guy" is the euroballer right?  :users:

Apparently Fitz has no idea what he's talking about.

It's like you've followed Fitz for years.

the rivals rankings were updated.  severe debuts at 141.

man, tough luck.

Maybe somebody should ask Bossi about our other recruits.  Could it be that we have 151-154?  :dunno:

starting to miss Diaz.    :dubious:

The only possible downside is if he negotiated some huge buyout.  Otherwise there is only upside in this.

I'm going to give Fuzzy Wuzzy the benefit of the doubt and say he let some horrible posting snowball on him and cloud his BBIQ judgement.  I think he's smarter than he looked in this thread.

I do think it's interesting to compare the freshman years of the two though:

http://statsheet.com/mcb/players/compare?jordan-henriguez-roberts=2009-2010&p1=jordan-henriguez-roberts&p2=jason-bennett&remove=curtis-kelly

I really hated to see Bennett go.  Was really a waste.

Someone with HBBIQ tell me how to feel about this.  Tia

Agreed.  Little help here...

I'll wait to see the recruits, but I think it's likely that the replacements will be upgrades.

I think Orris was a no brainer.  When Angel and Irivng were missing games and oscar was like "eff it, Spradling is playing both guards" that pretty much said that Orris was never going to play.  Diaz is a little bit harder because it's plausible that we could replace him with somebody worse, but it'll probably be somebody at least as good.  Very low risk Brucing for the most part.  Neither of these guys (especially Orris) bother me like Anderson, Sutton, Russell, ect.

Why don't any of those guys just kick his ass?  I mean, what happens to you when decide to let a man start abusing you?

coaches who win champioships publicly call out players by name.  It's science.

I like both those dudes!   :ksu:

Elite football programs (Mich, UF, Ohio St, ect) buy FFs every once in a while just from boredom.  Meanwhile, elite basketball programs can barely field a football team.  The best basketball team in the state can't even afford a football team...think about that.  The reason we have the best combo of revenue sports, is that we put football first...when you get rich, basketball success just comes.

I still haven't read a good logical reason to RS anyone.  This isn't football.  Either recruit over diaz via juco or transfer or don't RS anyone so they have it available when you oscar them after next year.

If you have a logjam of talent, and somebody is willing to redshirt, you should do it.

I should have been more specific; I haven't heard a reason to redshirt anyone on this roster.  That reason, while logical would not apply to this team.

At this point I don't think we should reshirt anyone, but I could see a scenario in which I would support reshirting Thomas.  Depends on what happens between now and January.  That said, I don't see how it really hurts us if we decide to rs Diaz.  I mean, I wouldn't be pissed about it or anything.   :dunno:

K-State students who cheer for WSU more than the Cats make me hate everything about wichita.

I can't say I have ever witnessed this phenomenon.  It's hard for me to believe that this has ever actually happened.

Honestly,  cat fandom aside, he should go.   I mean he isn't an NBA'er and w bad knees already,  his earning yrs could already be shorter than otherwise.   Go make money.

Perhaps.  I don't know enough about his relative stock and how the Euroleagues work.

Omari?  he  would  have  to go d2,  right?

He could just graduate and move on with life too.   :dunno:

I always assume that Foster would be more of a shooting guard and Westicles would be more of a wing, but could it be that Foster will be more of a wing and Westicles more of an undersized stretch 4?

i expect so, and i certainly hope so.  they'll both be better if that's how they're used.

yes

someone explain to me why I should be more excited about these guys than Clent Stewart or Curtis Allen.

You probably shouldn't be.  I don't really remember how excited you were when Stewart and Allen committed.  Was it more or less excited than Lance Harris?  Jake Pullen?  Angel?  Give me a frame of reference here...

I was more excited for Stewart and Allen than all those guys. Harris was a middle-of-the-pack member of GRCOAT 1.0, Pullen was lost in GRCOAT 2.0, Angel was a spring signee that basically no one saw play.

Stewart was a top 150! Curtis Allen was a 4 star that was downgraded! (IIRC) Both were nice consolation prizes after missing out on Chamberlin Oguchi!

Then you definitely should not be more excited for these guys.

I can't believe two pages of muck was generated in a recruiting thread becuase somebody essentially said "good players make you better offensively"

rough ridin' genius.

23
can we be clear about why we were picked 5th or 6th or whatever by the coaches?  it's because they all thought oscar rough ridin' sucks and Baylor was going to be good, not because we had a bad team coming back.

I think it was more a new coach/new system thing, but your right in that they drastically underestimated oscar, and that we'd have been picked higher with Frank.  Probably 3rd or 4th.

24
I will lose my crap if we lose our 1st game of the tourney.

There is no scenario that won't involve you losing your crap.

25
It's a successful season no matter what happens. The conference title was very nice even if the league was pure dogshit.

This.
