Yeah it all about the white. About the same height, muscle bound. Walkup seems to play every position. Brings the ball up, hangs in the post as Brad's offensive rotates around him, gets out on the wing.

2
Watching Brad's Jacks on ESPN2. Can't tell you how livid it makes me that Oscar is patrolling K-State sideline. Also Baker of WSU is a poor man's Walkup.

3
8 boards, too.
LOL at that poor Celt trying to cover Mike's China move.

I guess Jennifer doesn't vote for governor, president, etc.
And for the uninformed, what's BOTC?

For what it's worth, BITB recounted a conversation with NUBB fans he ran across at the tourney yesterday. The hate the BIG and long to return to the Big-12. Of course, they were KC area fans but hard to believe that isn't widespread and growing  sentiment.
Corn pride, tho, so won't every happen as we'll have to tell the disbelieving grandchildren about big red and its place in history with U. of Chicago and School of the South.

6
Our BB program is constipated. Total blockage of progress. Can we then hope for angry old farts?

Remember the running joke of laughing at SLTHism other schools' fan were forced to endure from losery coaches? Basically exbruces.
Karma, I suppose.

"oscar is mediocrity, with brief moments of excellence. Live with it. Accept it. We're forever striving for 5th place in conference with him. Have another drink."

That pretty much defines the tone of this column, but not so much on the accept it angle:

Some writers must be getting tired of having to sit through yearlong pig slop and Brucecuses. Nice to see someone in the media calling Oscar out about last year's fiasco.

Yes, we filled the post hard chart today.

10
Seven wins. Hell, that's easy. We've won that many in the last 2 months.

11
2 points on 1-5 shooting. No where to go put up.

oscar would run Mike off  :bigtoke:

Brad has started luring 3 stars to SFA, which is at least like 4 stars here. I think the energy he would bring to the program/recruiting would be greater than anything we've seen since Huggy.
Maybe, I'm too optimistic on that score.

Jerome Tang Coaches Kansas State Basketball / Re: Currie on KMAN
« on: March 04, 2016, 12:43:50 PM »
I only caught the last 5 or so minutes of Currie on KMAN.  While not naming the basketball team explicitly, he made it clear that K-State teams will struggle from time to time due to having 2 P5 schools in the state, transfers, and injuries.  There are highs and lows like the stock market.

Didn't sound like anything can be done.  Got stuck with bad hand being a P5, stuck with these transfer rules, and having the one injury this season.  Long live oscar

Currie makes a great case for firing his sorry ass.

15
Players who showed minimal improvement

Angel Rodriguez
Nigel Johnson
Jordan Henriquez

Obviously two out of three transferred

JO improved under Weber? He had no idea how to use JO and squandered all the progress JO displayed late in his junior year. We lost in the first round of hte tournament because he didn't play him in the first half.

maybe the greatest run any program has ever experienced.   A modern day UCLA.
Without the tourney success, yes!
I don't think this guy gets  :tsc:
HMMmm National Championship and 2 final fours in that span.. You guys really are BUTT HURT. Hell you cant even make the tourny!!!

Something as long gone as KU's brief football relevance.

Yeah Freeman's gone for sure, and as I pointed out elsewhere DJamer as fifth year senior is free to go if he wants and play immediately. Frank will probably snag him.

We should just hope that after X amount of years listening the squeaks, t he AD doesn't all in love with the first gravel-voice candidate. However, I would expect such a classic reaction hire from Currie.

it is impossible for a "keep weber" opinion to sound good or correct
Final four bitch
Weber is a flawed coach, but he is also a special coach.  Does he fit at KSU?  He will almost certainly be coaching KSU next season, and that will likely determine his career.  He will also almost certainly pass 400 DI wins and 300 wins as a high major coach next season, which is no small accomplishment in 19 years.

KSU's last Final Four banner is from 1964.  For all his flaws, Weber is one of the few coaches you can get who has the proven ability to take KSU to a Final Four if he gets the right players.  Before anyone bashes this staff's recruiting, remember that Weber and Lowery took SIU to two NCAA Sweet Sixteens not so long ago with players they (both) recruited.  If they can do that at SIU, they can recruit a Final Four squad to KSU.

I would not be at all shocked to see KSU in the Final Four during Wade's senior season.  I am not saying it will happen, but yes there are some pretty good pieces already in place, and more interesting pieces already in the pipeline.  Sneed looks like a very nice get, and I think xWhomper may turn out to be a pleasant surprise when he gets healthy.  Next season will answer some major questions for both Weber and KSU, imo.

So how much do the sqwawks devalue the streak with each additional title? It's abundantly clear to anyone now no one else in the bottom feeding league gives a eff about basketball or winning the conference.

24
Wally was so sad. Gifted athlete but so shitty at basketball. Best thing he did was come with McGruder, whose departure marked the sart of K-State hoops' decline.

25
God if you're going back that far, Louie Small -- one year wonder for the Cats.
