angriest you have ever been after a loss
« on: February 25, 2015, 10:17:22 AM »
In any sport. And how long did it take you to feel whole again?

For me it's 2013 Okie State football. Don't know why, but I was super pissed. Wanna to burn down the football program. Then the next day I cured my hangover, got some chipotle and was fine.

What about the rest of you?

can't really think of one that stands out, certainly wasn't a basketball game though, I mean, can you even imagine?

oh I've been sad after losses before. I was very sad after that one. But then we won the Big 12 and I was like, "Cool, Fiesta Bowl"

I'm still unwrapping the psychological wounds from this one.

Butler bothered me for a very long time.

Baylor loss in 2012 also got me good.

I have never been remotely angry at another team or fanbase after a loss. I've been pretty mad at our own coaches after some losses. NDSU comes to mind. I was ready to boot bill in the ass.

Royals Game 7 I wasn't just angry, but super sad. I've been pretty mad at the end of each of our tourney losses the past few years except last year vs Kentucky, because I didn't have much expectation. Butler made me sadder than the others, but equal mad. Baylor 12 was a combo of Sad/Mad. Marshall 03 was angry for me.

yeah if NDSU fans stormed the field and bumped Bill and he got all angered up but not hurt, I'd think it was deserved for losing to such a shitty team.  Self just lost to a under .500 oscar rough ridin' Weber coached team and he has gotten zero criticism over that.  wow, good to be him I guess.

Maybe like, Nebraska the last time they played us and whipped our asses.  But that was more bummed than angry.

OHHHHHH yeah the NDSU loss was bad. I smoked liek 12 cigs that night (and I'd never smoked before). Then I woke up, and watched some TV and everything was good again.

Most sad/depressed? '12 Baylor. It was my birthday.... ):

Most angry? NDSU with good-buddy Winters. I Remember us walking back to my truck cursing the whole way and yelling terrible things.

i cussed for hours after the osu bball game when james anderson had 33 and that guy threw an angerbomb on the court. the officiating had a lot to do with that one, i think we also would have been top 10 if we'd won and i really wanted that.

After the Oregon Fiesta bowl I remember thinking, "You know what?  If we don't start winning some of these bowl games, I'm probably going to stop coming to them!"

98 was a downright traumatic experience. Anger was only one of many emotions that day. Otherwise, I can't say I've really been angry about a loss - maybe NDSU - more just disappointed.

I get angrier over being passed over for things we deserve, like the Sugar Bowl a few years back.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, K-State fans could have beheaded the entire KU team at midcourt, and K-State fans would be celebrating it this morning.  They are the ISIS of Big 12 fanbases.
