In theory, I suppose more non-shooting fouls could be called leading to longer possessions. I think it's just overcoaching though.

I updated the advanced stats trends chart from last year (its an animated gif, so just wait and it will change stats).

It looks to me like the numbers just continued on the trends they were on before. Last year before conference play the "rules changes" were enforced a little bit which changed efficiency, turnovers, and free throw rate, but it went back to "normal" by conference play and this year was more of the same.

Also, think are schedule is deceptively hard because we spent way too much time on the road. That is completely on the coaching staff.
