He was very good at reading inside/outside zone blocks, finding a crease, then getting downhill. He had a couple runs were he used multiple lateral moves, but not very often.

I was only disappointed when he took himself out on the 1st fourth quarter FG drive and then didn't come back in. I looked at the sideline and he was completely gassed and appeared to make no move to get down with the coaches to get back in the game.

He had 19 carries, I'm sure he hadn't got that large of a percentage of the carries in a game or practice in a very long time. This is also the second straight home game that the leading rusher had fatigue issues, may speak to something else.

Two morons behind me complained on every Charles Jones run, they played a montage of his runs and one guy said "he should of popped all of those."

Always some serious dumb@$$ behind me at games making such brilliant statements.  I always wonder if other fan bases have such dimwits.

Maybe not at KU....no one at the games to sit behind you.

Watching the game made me pretty sure that Jones is probably our smartest running back when it comes to football running back knowledge.

We have no home run backs, so expecting any K-State back to house anything over 10 yards is dumb.

He really amassed a very nice career for a two star guy with no real expectations.

1,832 Rushing Yards
20 Rushing TDs
33 Receptions
344 Receiving Yards
1 Receiving TD
5.14 Yards Per Play from Scrimmage

I think most of us are probably happy to see better true runners in Barnes and Silmon going forward, but Charles Jones should be remembered fondly for being a pretty damn good back.

He was solid. Barnes and Silmon are bigger guys that focus on getting vertical and can break tackles. I think Jones did that at times, but his inability to consistently break tackles caused him to try to make people miss, something he was only at doing.
